Old Delta n.g.?

I have a couple of rolls of Delta 100 that expired in 2018. It has been refrigerated since I bought it fresh. Is it usable?

It should be fine--slow B&W film that has been refrigerated is good for several years past date in my experience.

Thanks for helping. I will exalt that old film in a Rollei . I will rate it 80 to help it along just a bit.

Cold storage is even not as critical for traditional B&W film as it is for C-41, etc.

 

Ilford says:

Store Delta 100 Professional in a cool (10–20°C/50-68°F), dry place in its original packaging.

FP4 Plus may be stored in a fridge/freezer but allow plenty of time for the film to acclimatise prior to use.

 

A film that expired in 2018 and has been kept refrigerated could almost be considered still fresh.

Delta 3200 is different, though.

 

From 2018, even frozen, it isn't the same as fresh.

 

I suspect Delta 100 will be fine to 20 or 30 years at normal (not tropical)

room temperature, longer refrigerated.

I once had a hundred-foot roll of Panatomic X refrigerated for 30 years. I finally gave it to someone on this site: he said it was "snappy and fresh."
