John Seaman
It's going to be very difficult to find someone who can give specific advice about repairing a less well known camera like the Chinon. I guess also that repair manuals will no longer be obtainable. Since you have already got the baseplate off, it's often a case of carefully poking around, moving levers etc while trying the film advance, to try and work out what does what, and what is causing the jam and blocking things. There's nothing obviously wrong in your picture. Sorry i can't help further.
m42dave
In addition, check the wire springs (several are shown in your photo) which put tension on the different levers. If the camera has had a hard jolt, it's not difficult for one of these wire springs to become dislodged. Thomas Tomosy's first book on camera repair has a few sections on Chinon cameras if you're still stuck. Try your local library or online.
