robert_walden
I have been looking for a few old 122 negatives for a presentation. Have been watching ebay with no luck. Any suggestions on where to purchase a couple negs? Thanks
glen_h
I have about two, but they aren't very good. They are from a roll of VP122 that I developed a few years ago, that was exposed about 1957. Even more, they may have been underexposed in the first place. What do you want to do with them? -- glen
robert_walden
Would you be willing to part with one or two? Quality of the image isn't that important. I am trying to show the reason for the size by showing it with a RPPC. What would you want for one or two?
glen_h
I also have two unexposed rolls of VP122, one still sealed in its package, one not, and also a camera to use them with, which I believe works, but I don't actually know that. One of the negatives is a picture of the Mackinac bridge under construction. That, and its ASA 80 (from before the change in ASA ratings) dates it close to 1957. That seems a little more interesting to me, though it isn't a very good picture. The other is an ordinary family picture, which is a little better exposed. OK, I will trade the latter one for an unopened roll (foil sealed, box might not be) roll of VP122. -- glen
robert_walden
Sorry, I do not have any rolls of 122 film.
Mike Gammill
Robert- if you are unable to find any 122 negatives try printing a negative image on transparency material to the correct size (I think it's 3 1/4 X 5 1/2?) Trim off excess. If done neatly maybe that would work.
glen_h
I wouldn't pay that much, but there it is: KODAK 122 VERICHROME PAN, BOXED, EXPIRED 1965, FOR DISPLAY ONLY/cks/193838 | eBay -- glen
glen_h
Interesting, I put in the link without the title and all, but somehow when it posts it gets the title. -- glen

Guess I'll keep haunting dark places and Ebay.

Lots of it doesn't sell though, just distorts prices, IMO. I do own a 122 and a couple 116 cameras. One of the 116's came with an unexposed roll of VP 616. In the past I have used and processed films from one of my 116's. Lots of fun. However most of my time is now spent digitizing and printing from old odd size negatives for individuals and historical societies and presenting a presentation of old photographic history and equipment. I think my processing days are over. Spent most of my working career in darkrooms.
