scott_murphy5 Posted March 14, 2017 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Does anyone here know of a RELIABLE URL to download Nikon Scan 4.0.3? My copy of the zip file is on my desktop at home 300 miles away. When you put it into a search engine all you are getting are these sites which are fill of spyware and don't really have the software. bgelfand Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I am running 4.0.3 under Windows 7 x64 and have been since 2010. The problem is not the software itself but the driver. One solution is install VueScan first - even the trial version of VueScan. Start the scanner; this will install the VueScan driver for the Coolscan .Then Install NikonScan. During the install you have the option to install the NikonScan driver. Uncheck the box and do NOT install the NikonScan driver. NikonScan will then use the VueScan driver to access the Coolscan scanner. BTW, I purchased VueScan, so now I have both.
