My wife, who is a sea paddler, treats this place with great respect. It looks quite different at high water slack.

Sanford
John, I may have asked this before but is that 23mm F2 Fuji lens as good as everyone says? Better than the kit 18-55mm.
johnfarrar
Sanford - I've only had it a couple of weeks with mostly bad weather, but I'm impressed; it's certainly sharp at mid to far distances even fairly wide open (and at 5.6-11 it's excellent). I have not seen any significant CA (even looking for it) or field curvature. There are web reports saying it has faults, which may come down to copy-to-copy variation. It focuses fast, although I'm surprised that the Fuji XE1 refuses to focus on some low contrast subjects (eg clouds) that the Olympus EM5 would cope with easily. Overall - I'm delighted with it.
