steve_d6
I have several of these cameras to include the CLX. I noticed the meter window on one was missing. I then checked my other four or five. The meter windows on another three are also missing. I cried when I saw the CLX was missing it too. According to Don Goldberg, the windows are thinner than the C model. Nothing to be done other than replacement. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any as he indicates the company wants too much for them.

Impossible to find if it pops out. Just too small. I've resorted to a piece of tape to keep the inner mechanism dust free. Disappointing nonetheless.
Anyone else have this problem?
Steve

MTC Photography
I just checked my TLX,CLX and LX Platin, their exposure meter windows are all intact.
Thank you for reminding. The exposure window is so small, easily to overlook.
You may try to cut a piece of clear 35mm film backing and cut to size , then carefully stick it
to the exposure meter window.
Tape is too thin, cell phone screen protector may be better

MTC Photography
Steve, your percentage of window pop out is too high. It may have something to do with your habit in handling the camera. Did you unexpectedly put your finger over the exposure
window during push pull ?
steve_d6
No, there's nothing unusual in the way I handle the cameras. I agree, it is disappointingly too frequent. I'll contact Don again. He may have obtained some.
eduardo_barriga
I had this problem several years ago with my LX. At that time (about 1983) Frau Steinmüller, from Minox sent me a couple of transparent windows. She told me that it was important because it was a UV filter. I installed mine with a tiny drop of Cyano glue. Up to today, the window is still there.
