Haven't been out much the past week or two - mostly family photos recently, so I'm posting shots that are a couple of weeks old. This male Northern Cardinal was very cooperative , probably because there was a feeder between him and me. Shot with Canon 7D, EF 70-300mm L IS at ISO 200 at f 5.6 and 1/200. Had to crop in quite a bit to get the image I wanted, but I'm accustomed to that.

00bAdM-510341584.jpg.9187f118a08c35b297ec5ed5f10a7a5e.jpg

This is an irruption year for Canadian birds showing up here in Central Ohio for the Winter. Of the birds that have been spotted around here, the only ones I have captured so far are the Red-breasted Nuthatches, and this is my favorite shot so far, at a feeder in a local park. Canon 7D, EF 70-300mm L IS, ISO 400 f 5.6 at 1/125.

00bAdW-510345684.jpg.d6461892fe157a80b3a7ae32f0bc5705.jpg
