A good Wednesday to everyone. Being out at some weekend markets this time of year, I get to make note of some regular local personalities. This gent strolls by every Saturday morning with one or another of his several conures and parrots on his shoulder for some fresh air. He can't communicate verbally well at all, but he obviously has a very rich relationship with his feathered friends. Had any colorful characters in front of your lens lately? Share a photo!

00aRk2-470547584.jpg.b88cadd99df2d0c6e5bf93afc4ddf325.jpg

Had a busy weekend with a Senior class cruise on Thursday and a model shoot on Monday. In between enjoyed time with my family. I always look forward to Wednesday to see what others have been up to and how some of the equipment performs in capable hands.

This is my favorite model Denisse and her friend Juan. We were at the High Line park in NYC.

00aRk6-470551584.jpg.42352c5dee0fd2255e33c8ed2e0abb33.jpg

Not a colorful subject, but I got some nice shots of an interisting moon with a borrowed 70-300 f4-5.6 AF-D. I was really suprised at how well the D lens worked with my D7000. Fun diversion when you're camping and have zero light pollution.

00aRkH-470559584.jpg.a16f819ed9046fe0f2e709ff8c8f7c5f.jpg

Here is a photo with the Noct-Nikkor in Boston's North End. We were actually right next to Senator Kerry's residence. Very soft natural light in the late afternoon. You can see some coma on the right side, but it is very well controlled for f/1.2. I love the bokeh, especially the front bokeh, with this lens, which is why I tried to include something out of focus in the foreground as well.

00aRkN-470563584.jpg.8b15eeb5e8d6a90103ffd30d3c51294f.jpg

Greetings, all! Continuing with exotic birds, here's a recent Wild Turkey. Funny and entertaining characters, in the way they wander around, stopping traffic. The males are grotesquely beautiful in their amazing displays!

00aRkO-470565584.jpg.dc49076dcb942f9749173e0cd5ad87cd.jpg

Happy wednesday!
Here's a picture I've shot last wednesday for a local paper - the cellist was soloist at a charity-concert at/in/for the local zoo.
That's why an animal - supplied by the zoo - had to be in the frame. The cellist had the choice between a young and rather nervous skunk (no joke) and this pied crow.
Rodeo Joe and Chris Wick - thanks for your kind words last week!

00aRlX-470585584.jpg.08c7a6a8ee595beb548a74f5482aee5a.jpg

This was from a trip to Rockport Mass to meet up with some (forum) friends for the first time. Great to talk to guys I've "known" for several years but never met. I liked how the red fishing shack just jumps out from the other brown and grey buildings/surroundings.
