Usually I would have a macro shot from the week, as it is my first love. However, lately been shooting the 300mm for a change of pace .
Spring has arrived in the south Louisiana swamps. They are alive in yellow and white.
Hope you enjoy the wild daisy (fleabane) and its visitor .

Aguinaldo - that beach scene is just what I need especially when i am surrounded by ice and snow. Incidentally my contribution is two icicles (macro) hanging off the place where I live in Quebec Canada. There are many interesting and beautiful images here today. John R - must be even colder where you live in Northern Ontario.

I was photographing sea ice late this afternoon. This was shot with the 85mm Micro-Nikkor and while I used maximum tilt and stopped down to f/16 I couldn't get everything in focus. Every day the ice looks different as the sun melts it so you either get it right or you try another subject the next day because nothing will look the same ;-)

00a6ut-448313584.jpg.c992dccfe097d0404494fa40c804ff60.jpg

Happy Wednesday everyone! My favorites this week:

Jamie H's ladder portrait
Robert's Labrador portrait (wish mine was that well trained!)
and Ben S's IR landscape

I've been busy with work recently, so the camera hasn't seen much action. Here's a quick portrait of my youngest taken a few weeks back.

00a6uu-448315584.jpg.bd5aab105872496de11256c0a0050176.jpg

Hi Guys,
Umm lately! Nope sorry, as Lately has seen me ensconced on a Pipelay Barge with only my old Olympus Mju to hand, I have nothing for here. So taking a delve into the archives I found this...not perfect, DOF is off and..well..but I like it, Motion...there is a bit of drama and the colours are solid! Hope you like...Bumble bee coming in to feed on a sage flower.

Just getting this in under the wire of midnight here.
Thought I'd try out my new 24mm f/1.4 on a subject that would be difficult to take with a slower lens. Shot handheld on a moving travelator. I don't think the other users would have appreciated a tripod being parked in their way!
