1. I need help controlling a SB910 remotely from a Nikon D850 with Wireless Transmitter WR-T10. I follow all instructions setting up the Nikon D850 and SB910, however unable to control the flash remotely. Specifically, I can not establish a link by Pairing between the D850 via WT-10 and the SB910 by means of MENU option in D850.. The SB910 works when mounted on camera., but does not fire when off camera with the remote WR-T10. I would appreciate any and all help setting up this configuration ro use the flash off camera. Thank you.and Merry Christmas! Le Giao
 2. Along with Matts' concern of the weather change, I took some shots of the full (corn) Moon last night. These were taken with a Nikon D750, 28-300mm, f/11, 20 to 25 secs, ISO 100.
 3. This photo would be a whole lot better without the tree in the center of the frame!
 4. If you light painted the rocks in the foreground, this would be fantastic!
 5. Fantastic capture of the Milky Ways and Aurora Borealis!
 6.
Don,

Can you please give me the address of Karl in Oregon. I need to send my Autocord in for a CLA. Thanks for the info. BTW, your shots are beautiful!
Le G

 7.
Thanks for you reply. I figured out that the camera now only works with G lenses. Something is amiss with the aperture follower tab and its associated components.
I will call Nikon Tech Support for a repair tomorrow.

 8.
I am baffled with a couple of issuss n my D610. I have been using SIGMA 24-70 2.8D and SIGMA 15-30mm with this body for sometime. Yesterday, when I mounted the 28-70mm lens, I saw an fEE error on the top LCD display. I checked the tab that locks the lens aperture at its smallest, and the tab was in place. The aperture ring did not move. When I turned the camera on, it displays fEE error and refuses to function. I tried anther lens, SIGMA 15-30mm, same result. I tried the SIGMA 50mm 2.8 macro lens, ditto.

I then tried a NikonAF 50mm 1.8, same result. When I mount the 28-300mm AF-S VRII, it works fine. This lens comes with the body and I use it was my walkraound.
Then I mounted a Nikon 105mm 2.5 AI, set Non CPU lens accordingly and select it. which used to work before, as far as metering is concerned. Now I can longer meter with this lens, the aperture is not correctly reflected in the display in the viewfinder. It stays at 11 no matter where I turns the aperture ring on this lens.

In sum, I am experiencing two distinct problems:
1. Not recognizing NON-Nikon lenses, even though these same lenses work on this body before.
2. No metering with Nikon AI lens.

I checked/cleaned all the contacts on the lens, and cleaned the contacts on the body. These lenses work fine on a D7000 body.
Are there any settings in the D610 that have anything to do with these issues? I tried all the things I could think about to correct the problem, all to no avail.

Please help if you have any experiences on these issues or ideas on how to overcome them. Thank you all.

 9.
Thank you both Stephen and Michael.
Michael, your instruction is very helpful, showing a lot of experience in dealing with these FD lenses. I certainly will not send it to any repair shop in view of cost of repair vs. cost of acquisition, but will tinker with it to see if I can make the focus ring responds more readily than it is right now.
Again, zillion thanks to your advice.

 10.
I need help fixing a Canon FD Macro 50mm 3.5 lens. The focus ring can become very stiff at some point such that I had to use force to turn it. I suspect that the lens barrel get gummed up inside, and try to figure out how to clean it. I do not have any information on disassembly of this lens, so I post this to ask for your advice and/or information as to what would be the best way to address this issue. The lens looks not abused, just old, so I think If I can disassemble the barrel, I can clean it so that the focus ring will turn smoothly. If this is not so, please enlighten me as to what I need to do to overcome this.

Thank you.

 11.
Hello,
I am having a problem with ViewNX-I. I installed it on Windows 8.1. It uninstalled View NX2 as expected, and finished the installation successfully. However, when I start the application, nothing happens. I look at the Task Manager and find it is running in the background, but nowhere to be seen on the monitor. I connect my D7000, nothing happens.
Anyone experiences this problem, please share/point me to the right direction to make this work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled View NX-i a couple of time, all to no avail. Capture NX-d also installed and it runs fine.

Thank you

 12.
Great photos, as always. Thanks for sharing, Bill.

 13.
Attaching a branch or something else to the tree stump would make it less, not more, natural, IMHO! The focus of these beautiful shots are the birds themselves, and the subjects have been captured so beautifully with old FD glass!

Thanks Bill, for putting new life into these old FD lenses.

 14.
My contributions this week are images at the annual flower market on the occasion of Lunar New Year of the Goat in Westminster, CA.
All photos were taken by a Nikon D7000 and a Tamron 50mm Macro lens.

 16.
For the last several weeks, I have been experimenting old Canon FD lenses on Nikon body. To begin with, I ordered a Canon FD to Nikon 1 adapter to use on a Nikon V1. It is a cheap adapter, yet it does the job quite well, IMO. Putting a 35mm lens on a small sensor ILC like the Nikon V1 undoubtedly limits its angle of view. With a crop factor of 2.7, almost all lenses would become tele or macro depending on how you call it.

Here are a few samples, taken with a 200mm f/4, a 100mm f/2.8 or a 35mm f/3.5.
I like the image quality and color rendering of these old but very capable glasses.

 17.
I am having a similar problem to this thread. My Nikon FE works at all shutter speed but 1/1000, at which point the mirror gets locked up. I have tried new batteries, all to no avail. All other shutter speeds work fine.
Has anyone ever resolved this problem?

Regards,
Le

 18.
Thanks JDM and Steven for your insights.
I do have several FD bodies, but I'd like to try on digital ones for convenience (no film developing and printing). I agree that the best body sofar for these lenses are the mirrorless like SONY NEX 7.

 19.
I am inspired by the various postings of photos taken with FD glasses on different digital body (Olympus OMD, SONY NEX, etc..) I tried to order an adapter from Fotodiox , but after reading a couple of reviews, I'm discouraged. I know some other manufacturers also make adapters for FD lens to Nikon F mount, but not sure which one is best. I would appreciate if any user with any type/make of adapter to Nikon F to give me some directions as to what to look out for and what adapter satisfies you the most. Thaks fopr sharing your experience.
Le
