Leave it to the Germans to make a photographer-nutcracker, and leave it to my brother in law to actually give me one! My wife says this looks almost like a self portrait I've done in front of our tree. I suppose, after the few weeks I've had work-wise, my expression does sort of look like that. But I don't have a camera with bellows, or a hat quite like that.

OK, let's see some slightly off-kilter seasonal ... something. Share a photo! And very happy holidays to us Nikon folk, every one.

My contribution this week comes from a Class trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I chose to focus on the art.

LeTGiao_Gallery
This past weekend I spent some time in Old Town San Diego, looking for Xmas decorations. I drove around and found this church on a hill. Went in, walked around and took some HDR photos of the hall on the side of the church. The photos, taken by a D7000 with a Sigma 28-70mm f2.8, are 2 EV apart, 3 shots combined in Dynamic Photo HDR 5, then cropped and resized in ACDSee Pro 5.

GlennS
I've been photographing a wrecked dinghy on a local beach when ever the tides are low enough. During December the low tides fall at night so had to make use of the full moon for illumination. This is a single exposure with very minor tweaking. One of the friendly blue orbs even made an appearance. ;-)
Details...
