<p>Thanks to James Young for mentioning my photo last week. This is a one room schoolhouse built in 1900 by Mormon settlers in Fruita Utah and is now part of Capitol Reef National Park.</p><div></div>

<p>Mine is a simple jar of flowers this week; the only shot that wasn't purely a technical exercise in what's been a pretty boring week. D700 with studio flash in a softbox and a little hotshoe strobe used as a backlight/kicker.</p><div></div>

<p>Upward she climbs with graceful athleticism, at the 2011 Bozeman Ice Festival. Ice climbers from the Cascades to the Adirondacks and the Canadian Rockies enjoyed perfect weather at the 3 day event. Bozeman is my home town. Thanks to the efforts of the ice climbers, the mountain road into Hyalite Canyon is plowed all winter, giving access to this winter wonderland without the need of a snowmobile.
