rcsenn
Great shots everyone! My shot this week comes from a walk thru the backyard. Seems that this lizzard was getting a drink (?) by licking the dew off of the leaves.
john_tysko
I went out one morning to catch the early sun, and not being half awake I set up my tripod and aimed my 7d a flower hoping to catch a reflection in the dew. One look through the viewfinder at the invading monster woke me up quickly.

Andy Collins
Here's one to celebrate the 4th of July with, even though it's over. I actually took this a while ago but I thought that this is a most appropriate time to share it.

fullcyc
Hello all, Due to some major computer problems I have been unable to view the site. :( I am very happy to be back and have enjoyed viewing todays thread. There are some really nice photos this week. Thank you all for sharing...
This image is the result of a split second encounter where a bee had flown into a flower that was already inhabbited by an ant. I was able to take this one quick shot before the small scurmish was all but over with. The focus and exposer were both way off but I am very pleased with the end result. I hope you enjoy viewing it and I look forward to being back next week.

Canon XS, Kiron 28-70mm / 1x's FD to EF adapter.

KenPapai
My wife & I did three good hikes on the July 4th, 3-day weekend.
This photo is from one of them, along Mt. Tamalpais. I enjoy shooting old, weathered signs and this is one example during bright daylight on a very hot (too hot for me) day. I used a bit of wide radius USM to enhance contrast.

EOS 7D, 24mm, ISO 200, f/3.5, 1/400.

(on the first page I really love karen's 'poppy field', Lupo's food shot, and Mike's "phone break.")
