Why don't you go look at the product information sheet on the Ilford website, downloadable as a pdf?
It gives 6 mins for 1+25 and 11 mins for 1+50. They don't recommend stand development - none of the manufacturers do - it's just that some people try to economise to the nth degree, and often end up on forums asking why they get peculiar marks on their negatives. You have to ask yourself why would the manufacturers of the film give such guidelines if they lead to less than optimal results, and do others really have more knowledge that makes the manufacturers advice invalid?

I have hear of some very good results from stand development , I just dont understand why any one would realy want to do this but each to there own .

There have been a few threads related to stand development of this site so maybe a search would help .
I once forgot about some films I was developing and they were in the soup for around 90 mins , it was full strength FX39 , negs come out just fine , I think I also made an error when I mixed the developer (it just wasn't my night ) but in the end all was good

Tony, a good starting point for Pan F would be Rodinal 1:100 for 1 hour (5 min initial agitation). If you like to mix your own raw chemicals, Pan F is stunning in GSD-10 (you can do a search for a blog on how to mix it). Pan F is one of those films that handles stand development extremely well. I've also used semi-stand development in highly dilute HC-100 for shorter periods of time, but go with the first two to start.
