jos__arnaud
Hello Fellow Nikonians !
First of all I want to thank warmly to Janas Fjellstedt and Peter Heritage (as well as to Hayley Karl and Doug Rice), for their stimulating comments on my Cambodian Mother and Child, that is in fact one of my prefered pictures, as well as to Greg Kowalczewski and Doug Rice for their comments on my "Jumping" photo, last Weds..
This week, so far,at this early stage, besides the usual excellent flower and bug macros, I would like to refer, for their originality, Erik Christensen's "Manicure" and Kent Shaker's Heavy tripod-light camera, Rick Moran's "Snowy Edret", for the perfect symmetry and of his very "clean" picture, Aguinaldo for his "retro" style Paris street scene, and also Scott Pogorelc's "Cats life", for the very critical use of the focus to give depth to his cat.
This week I contribute with a picture taken at a traditional Iberian mask parade that took place in Lisbon city, last Saturday.

tony12tt
Being totally lost for a subject to shoot I decided to shoot this pebble at closeup. These are actually very interesting in architecture. Smooth on the surface with straight sharp edges. Being weathered over time, heat and cold action cause them to crack but given the dense hard nature of the rock itself, they quicker split along sharp angles.

kobye
Here was a fun find from the weekend - there were hundreds of fallen, tiny viburnum blossoms on some leaves. I'll be back later to comment on everyone's photos.

Last week I got the chance to go to the local Minor League team while Jacoby Ellsbury was in a rehab stint after his time on the DL. Here's his second hit on the day. It was a single. I missed him stealing second while I was focused on Mike Cameron hitting (also in a rehab stint).

Hope everyone enjoys.
RS

pvg photography
Happy Wednesday to all and may I say that the day is off to a really great start!! Since next Monday is Memorial day here in the USA, I thought I would go back into my archives and post one of my favorite photos, from when I was living in Massachusetts. The American flag is flying over Fort Sewall, in Marblehead, MA. The fort dates back to 1644 and at one time was instrumental in protecting "Old Ironsides" from an attack by a British Gun ship. The home that I was living in at the time was built in 1670 and was surrounded by similar homes. The sense of history in the area was simply amazing. Looking forward to seeing the day unfold in pictures.
