Hi everyone!

Wow, some really great stuff here! The following really stood out for me:

Happy wednesday, all!
Some really cool photos up already. Especially like Shun's, the shadow is just perfect.
Mine is from last sunday on Mongibello, better known as the Etna, where the last skiers had to make place for a spring sun:

Went to a football (soccer) match of my local team, Greenock Morton (www.gmfc.net) on Saturday. It was a hard game and as our team is close to the bottom of the table we were fighting hard to stay away from the "relegation" zone. (2 teams at the bottom of each division go down to the lower division and two teams at the top go up - weve climbed from 3rd division to 1st division in 4 years and we dont want to be going back down again!).

Anyway we fought hard for 90 minutes and both teams had some chances - them more than us to be honest but in the 90th minute (Injury time) we clinched a win.
Here is the celebration after the goal shot on an F80 / Tamron 28-80mm Ilford XP1 scanned at 2700dpi and processed in PS and Photoscape.

00W4Wo-231629684.jpg.c74d1a248ec87a67570759529979c0c8.jpg

Taken at a turtle hatchery on Grand Cayman. When Christopher Columbus explored the Cayman Islands in 1503, he named them Las Tortugas because they were teeming with green sea turtles. Over the centuries, humans killed and ate so many that they were near extinction in that area. The hatchery, established in 1968, has had good success rebuilding the local population. It is now illegal to harm wild turtles there, but the hatchery sells meat to local restaurants.

Happy Wed all. Been having trouble uploading from my program last few times, so hopefully this will be another warming weather shot from my flower gallery. This is one of the roses from my garden, D200 and either old Tamron28-80 SP (most likely) or old 90mm macro, enjoy.

00W4Xd-231639584.JPG.23b6cb6d91b12f3fd50847c640017b3c.JPG

Happy Wednesday to everyone. My contribution is another mission picture from San Antonio. This one is from the Mission San Jose, a huge complex. The picture shows the detailed and elaborate stonework done over the front entrance doors.

A friend had his first fire and brew party last Friday. Took my D700 figuring to try some firelight work of the attendees. What I got instead was off his back yard bulkhead. D700 at 3200, 24-85D at 24 f2.8, for 1/4 sec. He now has this as his computer's wallpaper.

00W4YK-231643584.jpg.aee9676f3abbf18c98c98d0639b9cb98.jpg
