aginbyte
Glad people aren't taking it so seriously. There's enough to worry about in the world without fussing over chimping.
jackaldridge
Thanks...I needed that.
As a closet chimper it gave me the strength to 'come out'!
charlesheckel
Not only do I chimp, I pan, and I'm getting this thing for Jane Goodall . . .
mwaks
I just call it "looking at the display" ( big deal ), but give it a strange name to describe it otherwise (like chimping) and suddenly a common act has controversy. Seems pretty stupid to me.
mendel_leisk
My son and I were both shooting pictures at an open house yesterday. He'd been experimenting with Manual exposure, and left the settings way over exposed. All his shots where more-or-less white. Checking the display would have caught this.

Just as an aside: I think it's always a good idea to revert your camera to "Elvis" settings when you put it away, ie: settings that give you a decent chance of getting a good picture if Elvis happened to walk by, and you just had time to point-and-shoot.
bernie moore
I shot some pics yesterday, and did not chimp. The sun was too bright. I'm trying to figure out if I'm a better man for that now. So many rules; so little sense.
hjoseph7
I was shooting rapid fire school portraits this weekend. I chimped on 90% of the shots maybe more. Often I caught some kid blinking, or with wierd looks on their faces, then I took the shot over.
dbcooper
It's saved me more than once, like the time a banana in a still life was so underexposed it looked like it was somehow missing. Ooo ooo ahh ahh ahh.
