Maybe there's a faq somewhere that can answer my questions? I haven't found one

if so.

 

When I look at Unified View:

 

Why are some thread titles a cyan blue?

 

Why do some have a red square (or bullet) next to them?

 

Why are some thread titles green and some grey?

 

I know the blue means I haven't clicked on it yet and purple means I have.

 

What do the icons next to user names mean?

 

Why aren't all the forums listed in the poup menu under Forums? (More of a pet

peeve than anything.)

And yes, the FAQ is a bit weak. And by "a bit", I mean "really a lot".

 

I am in the process of expanding/updating it, but it's a slow process with all the other stuff I'm doing at the same time.

 

Dont't be afraid to use the "contact-us" form to ask questions.

There are probably too many forums to list them all in the Forums popup menu without

reducing its usefulness as a quick selection feature. It should be a list of the most useful

forums, particularly to new members and casual visitors. Regular members will probably

soon bookmark their own set of pages that they frequent.

Which is what the Unified View is about. You can <a href="http://www.photo.net/bboard/

unified/personalize">customize its appearance</a>. The bullets and colored titles you

mention are the default setting, but anybody can make their own selection of forums to

appear and assign boxes/colours. This should help you easily recognize, for instance,

posting in the Nikon forum.
