mad1
I'm always shooting in RAW mode with my 20D and edit images under PSCS3. When I develop the raw I put the sharpen to Zero. The sharpen of my cam is to Max (could it be the problem?) I know that Digital sensor has trouble with highlight contrast but is there a problem to minimize this? If I set the Camera sharpen to Zero or Normal... will it help? will I be able to get details by the way in photoshop? HELP :( Thx...<div></div>

ellis_vener_photography
It'sa type of fringing. under the Lens Correction tab in Adobe Camera Raw 4.1 (for Photoshop CS3) and Lightroom v1.1 there are chromatic fringing and a new filter called Defringe built in that can do a lot to solve this problem. I just wrote an article about using Defringe for the July issue of Professional Photographer magazine.
mad1
Wow, Thanks so much... Adobe Bridge doesn't have this correction capabality?
ellis_vener_photography
the problem has to do with really overexposed pxrls nextto onesthat aeren't over exposed. This proximity throws off the Bayer MAtrix color interpolation calculations.
mad1
ok, it a chromatic aberation... is it from the lens or the sensor?
