sattler123
More and more I see these flashing advertisements on photo.net and it is getting really annoying! It is hard to concentrate on anything when you have this blinking, flashing, loud color display in the corner of your eye all the time. Does photo.net really have to go that far to sponmsor this site? I understand the need for advertising revenue, but isn't there a way to eliminate the flashing commercials? I am a member of photo.net and somewhere it was suggested that paying members would see less of these - but that doesn't seem to hold water. mark pav
Camino, and probably some other browers, stops the ads.
wilsontsoi
"EveryFreeGift.com" is the most annoying ad I have ever come across on the internet with the flashing neon green, fuscia pink, etc. Viewing that ad, even only for a few seconds, is probably enough to make one epileptic. johncrosley
Is there a flashing ad problem? I am unaware of it. Maybe it's because I scan daily with Ad-aware, part of the Google Pack, or elsewhere freely downloadable and updated frequently. Maybe I've just been lucky and it has nothing to do with Ad-Aware (or its cousin Spy-bot, which is less soothing to use), and equally as free.I think Ad-Aware also blocks certain ads on its frequently-updated list. I hope this is not a 'forbidden' subject, but it seems that even to Administration things were 'ceded' and somehow got 'out of control', and on reflection might have been done differently, but then again, who knows? ;-)) John (Crosley)
