This is the additional weekly image thread for the Nature Forum. While images posted to this thread should still be nature in theme, it may contain a small amount of human-made objects and therefore less restricted than the Monday in Nature threads. Each participant please post no more than just one image per weekly thread.

I considered posting one of my images from last Monday's transit of Mercury, but I've already posted on that event twice this week, and it seems a bit of overkill to do so again. Yet, I'm still in an astronomical mood, so this week's post is a Milky Way and night sky image captured at Bryce Canyon. There are a few telltale signs of the hand of man, so it goes here...

 

This was one of my earliest attempts at combining my (then) new D7100 with the Tokina 16-35mm/2.8 for astrophotography. While not one of my best technical efforts, it remains one of my favorite star images, perhaps because I remember that night so vividly.
