  4. We went to the annual "International Banquet" at Coe College this past weekend. The food was variable -some really good stuff, and some, near vomitable. I kid thee not. After dinner the International Club students did some musical routines on stage. All in all a fun eve - this was their 40th year hosting this.

    These girls in kimonos were rockin' the joint...
    And last, a microphone malfunction right before this Cambodian girl played her roneat-ek which is like a xylophone. Amazingly played, all from memory.

  5. More concert photography ... I finally put my O2 "set" on Flickr - click through, if you're bored or curious. The main act tweeted this yesterday - and I had 23,000 hits in 15 hours!

  6. Tear jerker alert! After a long and photoless trudge through snow I stopped at a picnic table. I noticed this writing.

  27. I cannot remember a winter in which so much snow stayed on the ground for so long.
  28. Last weekend's teasing warm up here got me out getting the garden ready for spring. The birds were active and I managed a couple of shots. Back to a high in the 20s tomorrow.

  31. Happy Canon Photo Thursday, yes it is Friday here so I am sending this shot back to Thursday from the future. Ha! ;-)

  33. Thursday morning shot of the Ostrogski Palace, Warsaw, now the seat of Frederic Chopin Museum. The camera was Canon EOS 350D with the Tamron 17-50 lens. I decided to convert the image to b&w, as there was not much colour in it anyway ;)
