Niels - NHSN
...Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to get the most out of it? Congratulations! A hood is always good. Without a Rolleifix, it is very easy to damage the bottom plate if you mount it on a tripod. Niels
John Seaman
A good choice. Try and get a Bay 1 square lens hood if it didn't come with one, third party round hoods tend to cause vignetting. Likewise a strap, if hand holding the tension on it helps to keep the camera steady.. You may need the special scissor strap which some models require, as here: LINK - Rolleiflex Camera Strap

jc1305us
Thank you very much for your help everyone. I went ahead and bought what I thought would give me the best bang for my buck. I am now the proud owner of a Rolleiflex Automat 3.5B (MX-EVS) I believe from the serial number, which is 1480*** It has had a pretty hard life in certain places, with wear and tear but appears fully working! The B speed can stick a little at times, but all seems good. I think I did well considering it cost me just £135 or US$175. I got it from a reputable retailer also. It has the f3.5 Carl Zeiss Tessar taking lens. I think I will really enjoy using this camera. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to get the most out of it? Congrats! My first rolleiflex was an automat K4A. My photo teacher told me to put a roll of Fuji slide film through the camera to see how the lens looks. After that, I started shooting TRI-X, and Portra 400. Had a blast with that camera, you will too!
