The Nikon F6 which is available new for a very high price can do date imprinting but it has no flash built in. I think your best bet is to search Ebay. Back in the days they were available from very cheap ones to real high end one. So you also need to determine what other features you need. andylynn Posted July 21, 2019 Share Posted July 21, 2019 I can’t think of any high grade cameras that print the date on the frame, but there are plenty of consumer ones that do. Pentax had SLRs with the feature (I know the MZ-S has it) and Nikon’s N75D (F75D in some markets) had it. If you can find that Nikon it’s actually pretty good, for a small consumer camera. It has a flip-up flash and supports screwdriver AF, AF-S and VR. And there are plenty of point-and-shoot cameras with date stamp and flash (there might be one waiting for you in the nearest thrift shop for $5). Oh, and of course there are nicer cameras with replaceable backs and optional date stamp backs. I know the F100 and N8008 both had this option, and probably others. There’s this one that I have been looking at: Ansco Tegra 35mm Film Camera Vintage Point & Shoot Flash Date/Time Imprint https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079G5CPMK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_j7jnDbFTV4CT4 but I am not sure if all of my photos will have that date imprint which I do not want. BeBu Lamar Posted July 21, 2019 Share Posted July 21, 2019 The Nikon 35Ti is an excellent P&S of high quality that does date imprinting and has a flash. The date imprinting feature can be turned on and off. It's rather expensive used though. But after all it depends on why you would need a 35mm camera with such a feature. I have looked at a couple off of ebay: -minolta hi-matic SD point & shoot 38mm f/2.7 lens -olympus infinity jr. 35mm point & shoot film camera -Canon Sure Shot 76 Zoom 35mm Point & Shoot Film Camera -konica z-up 60 auto date title DX 35mm camera zoom 35-60mm Which one do you recommend? jeremyaustin Posted July 22, 2019 Share Posted July 22, 2019 Fujifilm X100 is probably what you want, but it's a lot more than 500 right now. The Olympus shown above with the 17mm pancake lens has a optical viewfinder available. O saw some good at the CameraVS I'd go that route over the more expensive electronic one. Have you also just considered going with a cheaper film rangefinder or small SLR and having the negatives scanned to CD at the lab? Keep in mind that cameras like the AE-1 are not really any smaller than a rebel with a small prime lens. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Be careful with these older cameras – many of them will only print dates in the past. The Minolta only allowed you to set dates (mechanically) up to 1992, and most models with an LCD and electronic settings only work up to 2019.
