  1. Best bet is a zeiss jenna 20mm 2.8 flecktogon. Shouldn't be too hard to convert to PL. There is also the Mir 37mm, but that's not that wide. There is the mir-20, which will match the look pretty well, but it's just a copy of the flektogon. I've been working on doing rehousing of the jupiter-9 85mm, the helios 58mm, the mir-37 and the 20.
  2. The issue: I am using a Nikon D4s and all of the sudden, none of my lenses will autofocus in the viewfinder mode. I read Nikon d4s specs and don't understand what to do. It maxes out and then comes back to infinity. So every time, the background basically focuses but not the subject. However, in live view mode, it focuses flawlessly and sharp. I do not have this issue in my Nikon D7500. Any ideas why it won’t work unless in live view? I have checked all of my AF settings and it’s the way it needs to. Just to clarify. 1: All of the standard checks for auto focus issues have been done. 2: All Nikon and Sigma lenses did work before, none will now (when in auto using viewfinder). 3:All of these lenses work perfectly on my D7500. 4: My original guess is maybe the Phase Detect Autofocus Sensor? But don’t know how to go about checking that. 5: still works in manual mode and auto when using the live view.
  3. Hi all, I use a Nikon D80 for portrait green screen shoots. I've had the camera for a long time & its had a lot of use. Recently its not been responding when pressing the shutter release. In fact nothing happens until I switch it off then back on. It works for a bit then doesn't respond again. Any thoughts apart from a new camera
  4. Fujifilm X100 is probably what you want, but it's a lot more than 500 right now. The Olympus shown above with the 17mm pancake lens has a optical viewfinder available. O saw some good at the CameraVS I'd go that route over the more expensive electronic one. Have you also just considered going with a cheaper film rangefinder or small SLR and having the negatives scanned to CD at the lab? Keep in mind that cameras like the AE-1 are not really any smaller than a rebel with a small prime lens.
  5. So I currently have a Fujifilm Finepix SL300 and I'd like to upgrade to a DSLR. I've been looking at Nikon's and Canons and have decided that my budget is around £500 pounds for everything including the lenses. Can anyone recommend an entry level DSLR? Thanks!
