bradleycloven
Hard to beat a FN2n. How did the airlines deal with film and X-rays. Looks great. I asked for a hand check at each of four security checkpoints. Three obliged without x-rays. One put my lead lined film bag through the x-ray machine, which probably showed them a big black square, and then they didn't even open it to look at the contents! JDMvW
this Praktica LB 2. Aside from the Pentacon Super, the L-series Prakticas are the pride of Praktica production. I have a good sampling of them, and they are straight-forward and reliable. Bill Bowes
Hello again. I believe a relative of Mr. Farron's "Tex Rat" is living close to me here in Tulalip. I have spotted this mutant sub species of Rodentia several time when it delivers it's driver to the Stanwood Farmers Market on Fridays. A friend of mine from U of Wa. has named it "Wa Wat". Aloha from the Mainland, Bill
donald_miller5
I had previously posted photos sourced by the processor who emails me photos and I pick up negatives when convenient. The files emailed are 72 dpi. What a difference when I scan the negatives. I said before that they seemed grainy. Here are some of the scanned negatives

Bill Bowes
Hello again. Don, your picture just above mjferron's post is showing a "bleed" from Kodak's system of letters/numbers used on 120 film. Was your film 120 Kodak? This bleed-thru was first seen 2-3 years ago with Kodak's TMY / TMX films in 120. Might you still have a current batch of this film so emulsion numbers can be given to Kodak? Their response to the b/w "event" was very professional. People who use this film need to be alerted to a potential bleed thru to any work. rick_drawbridge
Continuing to love the results from that Mamiya 55-105, Rick. Thanks Mike. I'm torn between the Mamiya 645 1000s and the Bronica ETRs when it comes to 645 format, but that Mamiya 55-110 zoom lens often tips the balance. Bill Bowes
Found a roll of UFX400 (exposed) rattling around in a Fed kit, popped it into my OA and. . . . vintage car pictures from last month. V800 scanned. Here are two. Aloha from the Mainland, Bill

MarcelRomviel
I put an out of date film in my Canon P. It's is called Spector color 200 expired in 2000 and I found it in a closet at my parents house. Some pretty funky colours came out. This one was the least affected.
rick_drawbridge
To finish off my offerings, here are a few from the Pentaflex SL I mentioned in the "What cameras are you using..." thread. It's basically just a very simple no-fuss Praktica SLR camera, solid and easy to use, with what is the ubiquitous 50mm Domiplan f/2.8 lens in the guise of a Pentaflex-Color. I find the Domiplan turns in a pretty good performance within the limits of it's triplet formula, but it's notorious for mechanical failure. The film was Kentmere 100 developed in PMK Pyro. Mike Gammill
Sometimes I try filters in unlikely situations: Tripod mounted Pentax ZX-7 with 50mm f 2.8 Pentax macro with #25 red. The blue and green capped markers are dark and the red tipped light (a bit overexposed). Film was HP5+. awaiting the dry erase board The 50mm macro is often an all purpose lens for me. It's rare that I need my speedier f 1.7 and 1.4 lenses. Often when I use the faster glass it's for easier focusing in lower light, especially if the focusing screen is not as bright as I like. Above image same camera, film, and lens, but no filter. Among 50mm macros the Olympus 50mm f 3.5 is my favorite because it is as compact as some fast 50's. Among the autofocus cameras the Pentax 50mm f 2.8 is my favorite.

Mike Gammill
From the other roll of FP4+ I processed this week, this time images from Pentax Spotmatic F. I used my 50mm f 1.4, 200mm f 4, and 28mm f3.5 for these images. the "trade ins", 50mm f 1.4 summer clouds, likely deep yellow filter, 50mm made same day as wide shot with OM-1, this one with the 200mm f 4 parking lot and sky filled with cumulus clouds, 28mm f 3.5
Moving On
I like those clouds in the second picture. Filter (likely?), post processing, or straight from the Pentax?
Mike Gammill
Moving On- I forgot to mention the filter in the cloud photo, I used a K2 (yellow). And thanks for the compliment.
