Although this camera is OK with 50mm lenses there can be a problem attaching a 35mm Jupiter 12 when a lever behind the rangefinder cam prevents it from screwing in.On mine I have fixed it by just bending this lever back but have not fully checked that it now works OK.The rangefinder still gives the same reading on 50mm and 35mm lenses.

another one 5B + Industar-61LD

Alan Johnson, it is no wonder the lens got a little mismatch with the body as they are separated by decades and even new ones dedicated to each other had got some problems

Ian,
I don't think the problem is due to a mismatch in manufacturing dates. The Jupiter-12 works fine on my Zorki 1,which would be from 1948-56, and on a Zorki-4 I had.It seems to be just some of the FED-2 1955-68 which have the lever that catches the Jupiter-12 and stops it from screwing in.

Mine was purchased for me about 10 years ago on the street in St. Petersburg, by a friend that had a photo of one (to know what to look for) and a $20 bill.
