FWIW, I like the photo but feel there is too much foreground -- perhaps crop to where the fence exits to the right. The frame is distracting. The color and texture, I find appealing. Just one guy's opinion. Keep it up!

A sudden storm over the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, Arizona.
What would you do differently?

I think it is an excellent picture, caught my eye right away. Keep it up!

Please comment, especially on whether and what to crop. Thanks.

Some Shelties are just made for portraits.

Nice shot! I'm afraid the little critter is gonna crawl right out of my monitor screen! Love that green.
-
What, didn't take your mosquito filter on this trip?! Keep shooting!

Pretty model. Kind of static pose, though, as if she is not sure what to do there. Like the color.

Very pretty work. To me, the eye is first drawn to the mom, near the center of the frame, and the surrounding light of the bus window, both of which are lighter than the little girl. The girl's eyes are an issue, as noted above. But I look at her and my eyes still want to go back to the center of the picture and the light area. Keep shooting!!

Thanks, Dan! (And, yes, the rocks really are that deep purple color, just a little dustier looking.)
-
Very eye-catching -- sort of, upside-down contrails in the sand! Perhaps crop out as much sky as you can and focus on the tracks. To me it is more of an optical puzzle than the image of a ribbon for any cause.

Sun under a canopy of pines, there was a pile of purple rocks about
six feet high. Growing near the rocks were some fragile little frills
about a foot and a half high at the most. I snapped some pictures.
Later, I flipped one horizontally and, lo and behold, the little
frills spelled out, "Be"! Not bad advice on a stressful day, is it?
Just, Be.

Newly rescued Sheltie "Buster" trots around the foster parent's yard,
Mesa, AZ. Sunny, about 3-4 pm, f/8, 1/125, 2.2MB uncompressed, worked
in Photoshop. He is an unusual Sable Merle color.

Cute, and interesting shapes. I'd like to see a print. Seems pretty dark on my screen.

I agree with Bruno Casals, the light is great (and the color!), just frame a little to the left as he said. Neat shot! John Bleau: If the basket contains dirt or rocks, etc., then she's a worker at a construction site, eh?
-
Great form, color, everything! Wish I'd shot that!
-
Nice idea! I suggest the originality and beauty of this shot would be enhanced if you cropped until most of the frame is filled -- zoom in, so the focus is on the action not the remoteness.
-
I think I would have been tempted to crop the left third out. Nice character piece.
-
I like the composition. It is a bit grainy, and personally I like more contrast. Keep it up!

I'd really like to see the rest of the buildings.

Very beautiful. Assume you meant, emerging?
