Strange as it may seem , there was a time when colour photography for the masses was a complete novelty and MOST photo's were Black & White from necessity , (hard to believe ehhh) , and not so very long ago either. Black and White (Colour and in-between as well) digital photo's are not a problem today Photoshop and all. Don't worry about the basics , today the "Camera" does all 😁😁😁.

There is essentially no difference , but you may need an adapter for your camera , these are available. -

This could be a frustrating problem , as we have regular country-wide electricity rolling blackouts here , imagine having this very nice vehicle and not being able to use it 😰😰😰. Canon PowerShot G12.

A long time ago , in a very different world , there was an Australian Singer/Commedian by name Rolf Harriss , one of the Songs in his repetoire was called "My Boomerang Won't Come Back". The members of this forum however prove that there are those who still "know how" , and that "old , obsolete technology" does still work. Sorry 🤣🤣🤣.

A new camera is unlikely to help , save your money and learn to shoot in low light as mentioned by others (not so easy). Your existing equipment is plenty good enough , just don't expect to capture moving subjects with any reliability.

Different programmers......different camera's.......no 2 will be the same ! , there are many ways "to skin a cat".

May have been used before , I don't remember. Who remembers the old SF "Fanzines" , good "ole Space Oprey" at its best. Scanned from a print. Asahi-Pentax S1a Film Camera , Super Takumar 55mm f2.0 lens , no further details.
