  1. Hi guys, I just tried to develop 2 colour films with my Tetenal C41 kit, but got 2 totally blank transparent rolls. Could anyone suggest what might have wrong here? This is the first time this has happened, and I used this batch of chemicals successfully a couple of months ago. Things to note: 1) The CD was very dark when it went in (like coffee) 2) I've been using Tetenal Protectan spray before storing the chemicals, surely this couldn't have ruined them?? 3) I'm 99% sure I didn't mix up the CD and BLIX .... but the frame numbers aren't visible Thanks in advance. I'm stumped!
  2. Hi Macaluan, I would very much like to see your fix, I haven't got round to looking at it since I posted. I now have plenty of time on my hands haha
  3. Hi guys, Does the HB 50mm CF FLE lens have a B60 mount? I recently bought a B60 - 67mm adapter ring but it just will not attach to the front of the lens (it slots between the tabs but won't twist on). Admittedly it is a cheap one from China, but I've got one for my 80mm C (B50) and that works perfectly. Any advice?? Many thanks, Rob
  4. Thanks for all of your replies :) I shoot with a Hasselblad 500 c/m and use a Weston Master V light meter to measure the exposure, and when using the red filter I add 2-3 stops to the reading given. Would you say this is the correct method? I’m wondering whether the sky in the shot was “blue enough” now, perhaps I was shooting a little towards the sun. I’ll give it another go when it’s deep blue and see what happens.
  5. Evening everyone. Has anyone successfully used a red filter to photograph a moody sky? I’ve tried a few times and never really seen any difference with or without. I scan my negatives at the moment until I can build a darkroom, but even through the loupe there isn’t much difference. I normally add 2 - 3 stops of exposure when using the filter as suggested too. Many thanks, Rob
  6. Thank you so much for your input Orsetto, and Ed. So I took your advice and found a mint condition 50mm CF FLE which I received today. It’s a gorgeous lens. Not taken any shots as yet but I can’t wait.
  7. I’m in the market for a 50mm Distagon to add to my 500c/m kit. I currently have an 80mm C T* that’s been fully serviced and works great. I’m trying to decide whether to go for a 50mm C T* that’s also been fully serviced, so they’ll match, or to go for a newer CF or even a CF with FLE, which the seller says working fine, but the accuracy of operation and speeds is going to be a bit of a gamble. Your thoughts would be appreciated :)
  8. Thank you Andy again for some sound advice. I’ll give it a go and report back :)
  9. Yea it is still stiff when out of the magazine. It will turn all the way, but only with a lot of force.
  10. Good afternoon. I recently bought a second A12 back for my 500c/m. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the winding mechanism and frame spacing is fine, however the film holder key is extremely tight and is quite difficult to turn to open the magazine. Could anyone in the know advise me if/how this is something I can easily fix myself? Kind regards, Rob
  11. Thanks again, as always sound advice. I'll have a look :)
  12. Bit of a long shot, but I have a screw missing from the lens hood of my 80mm C T* Planar (B50). Does anybody have any idea where I could find one - or perhaps butcher from an old hood?? Pic attached. Thanks in advance :)
  13. Thanks all for your responses. I have to say although it's always a gamble going through ebay, my Blad is in mint condition. There's not a mark on it. Before I had it serviced, the focus was definitely out (I bought an acute matte D with split image). Afterwards, it really is A1 like new. Even the technician was surprised. I'm starting to think that maybe it is the hand holding that is my main issue, as I very few of my held shots were above 1/125th. I will practice and persevere, there's no way I'm giving up on it now. The very thing that I fell in love with film was the fact it does force you to try harder and think before you hit that shutter.
  14. Having just developed my fourth roll from my Hasselblad 500c/m since its full service, I keep finding myself comparing the images with those from my old Bronica SQ-A and I can't help but think that those images were just better, mostly the fact they are pin sharp - something I'm not feeling so much with the Hassie. I've dreamed of owning a Hasselblad since starting out in film photography, so I'm having mixed feelings on whether I did the right thing 'upgrading'. Anyone else had similar experiences?
  15. A recent reply from AG Photographic regarding Tetenal
