    I have found that the little lithium batteries last a very long time in the FE and FE-2 cameras. And they are impervious to extreme cold. Russ

    This arrived from my camera repair tech today: Russ , The FE-2 shutter control system was built around the FE FM original shutters. The FM3 moved to a plastic gear control assembly that with even moderate use begins to fail. The intermediate speeds. 30, 60, 125 start to hang up. Otherwise it’s a great camera. Dave

    I recently received a Minolta X-700 with a Vivitar Series 1, 28-105 attached. I suppose I should finish the roll of Neopan 400 that is threaded in it?

    My two camera repair tech buddies say that the FE-2 is better built than the FM3A.

    That would be nice to view in a larger size. I agree, 17mm’s is usually too wide for me. I love the 20, 24, and 28mm range.
