  10. ...and don't forget to tremove the battery if you are not using the camera for a wee while. 645s are notorious for draining batteries - there is no actual off switch and having to put in a new battery every time you use it becomes annoying and expensive.
  11. There were a few different 645s. The J had a circular button to the right of the battery cover, as this one does. Pretty sure one of mine is like this and it is a 1000. You have to twist the button in the direction of the arrow (clockwise) and the cover should spring open (if I remember correctly!)
  12. As with everything - it's a personal thing I wonder what it would look like in colour?
  13. Interesting, but I can't help feeling she is missing something...

  17. Here's one I did earlier :) 44-2 but no swirly. I'm sure I have one somewhere. If nothing else, it shows you what doesn't cause it. Helios 44-2, Sony Nex 6 by Ken, on Flickr
  18. You should have more luck with the 44-2, that's the one that does the swirly thing rather than the 44. Later models are not noted for it either.
  19. Alternative lenses forum on Fredmiranda would be worth a look. I pop in there every now and then but never post: you need an email that you pay for to join. It must be an American thing- everyone I know in the UK uses free ones.
  20. I have a Zeiss Ikon Ikonta, little brother of the Super. I had to give mine a deep clean and polish. I bought mine for just under £20 inc case last year. A real pocketable MF camera. Zeiss Ikon Ikonta by Ken, on Flickr Zeiss Ikon Ikonta by Ken, on Flickr
