  1. Yup. I returned the Roberts Lens but my replacement lens has fungas in the viewing/composition lens. I saw a video where someone used vicegrips to 'lightly' grip the rear element and then they unscrewed it by turning the rest of the lens system while keeping the rear element still. not sure I'm ready to try that one though LOL.
  2. I wonder if anyone might have already made one & are selling it through Shapeways.com?
  3. If so, where can I buy them? Do I need to cannibalize another RZ67 Pro? Also, where can I find a repair manual for this camera? TIA! Ray http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u436/norcalphotographer001/s-l1600_cropped_zpsxmqyxtcd.jpg
  4. Thanks orsetto. I removed the rear element and unfortunately the fungus was inside that rear lens section & it appeared require calipers to disassemble it further.
  5. Simply size & available resolution/quality of MF images. Plus it's nice using a film camera. Forces you to slow down especially when you're using one without an auto-winder and built in metering.
  6. Well the seller (roberts camera) did not know what they were talking about. It is certainly not the SUPER model. But that said it was inexpensive for even the non-super 180mm lens which I'm seeing are all going for more than what I paid for this lens. What's involved with removing the rear element on the viewing lens? This one appears to have some fungus in that lens. None in the taking lens fortunately. TIA! Ray
  7. Hi all, I have a new question... I've done some searching to check for currently/modern available options for a strap for my recently acquired Yashica 44 LM tlr camera. Any suggestions? I know about the OpTech Super Pro straps being available for lugged cameras. Will either OpTech lug end work with the lugs on a Yashica 44LM camera? Alternatively mine did include a strap (albeit very worn and not safe enough to trust). Does anyone make a leather strap that I can use with the lug ends of the stock strap setup? TIA! Ray
  8. Thanks all. I will be selling the one that doesn't fit. It is literally in Mint condition & includes a leather case if anyone is interested. :) I already purchased a 180mm Super (just $75) as soon as I discovered it was an incompatible lens and figured out the difference. I did not see a red SUPER next to the 180mm marking so I hope the one I'm getting is in fact the Super model as the listing indicated. Also the new one I've purchased with the cocking lever does say 18cm versus 180mm so perhaps it's an older version although the seller (reputable camera shop) indicates it is a Super version. .
  9. Hi Dennis, I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge about this. So I checked the pictures of the he 2nd lens I posted, and it also has 18cm in its name rather than 180mm, but yet it has that tab for the shutter lever. That won't work either? Also, I noticed they sell 180mm masks. Are those necessary to use a 180mm lens on the c33? TIA again! Ray
  10. I've been doing more research and I think the lens I purchased unfortunately is definitely incompatible with the c33. Instead I really need this kind of lens... It's too bad there isn't a chart somewhere with this info along with an easy method to identify the different kinds of Mamiya TLR lenses.
  11. Hi Rodeo_Joe, Unfortunately your link is not active/there. :( Here is my camera... The small tab on the right side of the taking lens (next to the 1/60 second mark) is what is interfering with the 180mm lens. Here is the 180mm lens. Dennis do you know if this is one of the 'black' seiko shutter lenses that should work?
  12. Thanks for the detailed directions. What I'm f inding is the 180mm lens' housing is hitting the shutter lever on the right side (as you look at the front of the camera). I don't want to force it as it may bend/break something. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
  13. I've been able to remove the 80mm but it seems the 180mm won't go on correctly. Am I missing something? TIA! Ray
  14. Thanks for all the responses, even the Ansel Zone System detour. :) FWIW I purchased both their Lumigrid & their Flat Defuser for my meter. It was just $20 on ebay so not a huge issue. Usually I just use the myLightMeter app on my phone but the Lumigrid & Defuser to try on my Sekonic L398.
  15. Thanks for the responses. This will be used with non-metered film cameras (Bronica S2 to start) & I didn't want to buy another meter if I didn't have too. Will try it using the Lumigrid & see if it works (compared to my dslr & iphone w/ metering app).
  16. Hi All! I own an older Sekonic L-398 (L398) light meter which is designed primarily for incident light readings however, I want to use it for Reflective light measurements. I know the newer Sekonic L398M & L398A meters can be used for reflective light measurements by using their Lumigrid accessory that replaces their LumiSphere. Has anyone tried to use the Lumigrid with the older L398 meter? Has anyone used the older L398 for reflective light measurements? Alternatively if I can't use the L398 for reflective readings any recommendations on an inexpensive meter (under $100/used is fine) that can be used? TIA!
  17. Yeah the only issue with the pencil box is It's not really the correct size. In most cases it's too thin (not wide enough) or way too big. I'm going to try using a waiter's folding check/bill holder if I can get one. As for 4x5's how about a Tupperware or Rubbermaid container maybe?
  18. Thanks for the comments everyone. Yeah I guess it won't work for what I'm trying to do.
  19. Can the Bronica S2 shoot 35mm film using an adapter? I purchased an adapter recently (just $10) and tried using it to shoot 35mm film in my s2. Unfortunately the s2's shutter wouldnt fire. I tried with it in both 120 and 220 modes (in case it mattered) but the shutter never cocked. Anyone else tried this on an S2 and got it to work and can maybe shed some light on what I'm doing wrong? TIA!
  20. Thanks. I ended up just taking the entire film storage folder instead, but thanks anyways!
  21. Thanks Alan, JDMvW, & David. I appreciate your suggestions. I'm really looking for something hard sided that won't bend. All of your suggestions bend with just a breeze I think. What I ended up doing was just using my big 3-ring film box but long term it's really a bad solution due to it's large size. Oh well for now that worked but I can see something else would be needed for longer term use. Thanks again.
  22. Just wanted something a little safer since with folders nothing holds them from falling out plus folders are easy to bend. I'm thinking of using either a pencil box or a restaurant bill holder/binder.
  23. I already own a traditional MF film storage box that you can put the commonly found 8x11 plastic protector sheets in which you use to protect your film. Well the other day I wanted to bring a few shots over to a friend to test something at his place but aside from bringing the whole box of my developed 120 film/images I was wondering what else I can use to transport the already developed film? After a bit of research I began looking for a small plastic box or something slightly larger than strips of 120 film which I can then use to it transport 1 or more developed & cut rolls 120 film. Was thinking of checking w the local craft stores to see what they have. Perhaps they will have some kind of pencil box or something that would work and would not be exorbitantly expensive. TIA!
  24. After after shooting with my S2 for a few months now using a light meter app with my phone (Motorola Droid Turbo), I've begun to wonder if Bronica made a metered prism for the S2/S2A cameras or if one from any of the other Bronica bodies fit? Just looking to simplify the shooting process if possible. Also here's a cropped recent shoot taken with the 75mm Nikkor lens. Loving this camera so far!!
