Fix in progress for "public galleries" meaning ones assigned to POTD/W and Editor's pick. Glenn chooses and assigns, but the metadata data isn't taking hold as a bug.
-
We're finally getting the band back together. It's an HTTP 410. Checking now

...and unwanted followers also. The diet guy, and someone actually called "spammer" to name a few.
Guys, can you see the place where can remove comments now?
-
Yikes, unwanted followers? There would have to be a mechanism in place, so that they couldn't then just press the follow button again right away? Or like Facebook where you can say, "ignore this user" "user is no longer following you, but will not receive knowledge of this fact" -- keep putting thinking here, we'll have to scope out correctly first. It's a new type of concept on the site

I'll fix and add that feature

OK cool, our "undelete" script for you undeleted any failed uploads along with the real uploads, hence the duplicates. I would usually get a lot of angry messages if by now anybody else had something disappear. Still putting my ear out there.
-
I keep checking our data and asking around if anybody else is seeing something similar to this, nobody is saying yes back.
-
OK John, how are we doing?
You have 4038 uploads in our system.
Currently
4011 active
27 disabled
63 marked as private
* 16 Editor's picks over the last 10 years
* No Photos of the Week/Day set (they don't allow nudes for that category I think)
* You didn't have any featured photos set for your profile.
The very first upload was
2002-03-17 19:40:05
and the most recent:
2018-08-31 10:27:06

Tony said he has things in a good place, he stepped out for lunch. I think?? we're back for the most part.....

nobody's data is missing or images missing just something not staying up, a machine being rebuilt, new ones being added to support the higher load in the main website gallery sections that includes profiles / search etc.
-
There's no missing data at all just getting it to present correctly to end users, this includes everyone's uploads etc, there's nothing missing. Trying to get an update, last received one this AM around 8a EST.
-
A machine has been running 8x load for a month it has to be rebuilt. OPS guy cloning it quick to more powerful machine.
-
I'll spend this weekend keeping the site up. I think I've mitigated something for now. There was a bug with "private photos set back to public becoming invisible" but that was the only fix recently. For our indexer to choke up.
Is anybody having any images being deleted accidentally? I've only narrowed it down to one user which is good. Let me know right away!
-
OPS guy rebuilding a new node starting this AM. Don't know why it's affecting live site he says "fix in 5"
-
OK you should be back. let me test
But I am getting emails from PN as per my accounts settings save for the two clicked alert requests on photos -
I have gone back to my account page and it shows I have subscribed to emails and clicked comments on my photos & comments on other photos. My account page also shows''rstore your subscription'' in an orange block as raised in another thread and being looked at by Glenn....is that a lead?Thank you.
OK, here's what's going on, forum updates, go through, all the photo comments notices get rejected. I have to click around in there to dig up more info.
-
it now says you've delete over 900 images.
| count(*) | photoState |
| 3049 | active |
| 989 | disabled |
I can restore all this, but we need to know how the deletes are being issued.
-
everything can be restored, hold on thanks for patience.
-
@#%$^&*()_+ I'm tracking it down with the OPS guy. We had about 3 or 4 weeks with a pretty good track record there, a few crashes today, SORRY
-
I saw it, thanks. A switch button to toggle back and forth might also help. Am I the only one who required training wheels or is the added explanation on everyone's account page.
NO I think it's confusing for Glenn too, he was asking about it. Let me keep thinking, there's about 3 or 4 states a "subscription" can be in, "Legacy Expiring" "Legacy Renewing" "Current Renewing" "Current Expiring" yikes
-
Let me check tomorrow, fingers crossed, I can finally get to it. We keep having big things come up I get swamped with. Like that stupid indexer, I think it crashed again, I really have to talk to the OPS guy.
-
Today, everything disappeared, came back, and now disappeared again! Checked a few other members galleries and their photos were also gone. Happened before, always comes back eventually.
Sanford quick! Can you check . Your own uploads appear correct in your profile and others do as well tight? I keep checking around different accounts. There's nothing deleted that shouldn't be?
I hope it's just a bug on John's account I can restore the "accidental?" deletes. I'm really confused by this, I'm seeing activity showing deletes we issued by a user somehow. Count of 470.
An indexing machine was down for a few hours today but got restarted
-
wait a sec it says you have 470 deleted photos mostly from the last year, you did a purge on your account?
-
ahh bullocks, can you check now, I've added more explanation about what's going on.
It should explain to you what the current state of your subscription and expected charges are. If it's still confusing let me keep thinking.
See my problem here?
What happend with Editors' Picks.....
