  1. I got this camera about a week ago, was advertised as having new bellows and it appears that the bellows are brand new, however it is having light leaks. Through some testing I have figured out that the light leaks are coming from the front of the camera and not the rear film door. I suspect that when the new bellows were installed they weren't adequately sealed on the camera end. Any suggestions as to how to proceed? I feel moderately comfortable pulling them and resealing them, but I am always looking for suggestions and tips. I got a partial refund since the "condition didn't match the description". I have read how to remove and install the bellows, however I am not entirely familiar with how they are connected to the bellows frame. What's the best way to seal the bellows against he camera body? I've read suggestions of liquid electrical tape and silicon gasket maker. Thanks! I'd really like to get this camera going. I've included an image showing the extent of the leaks. Test 1 was conducted by shining a bring LED lamp on the bellows for about a minutes prior to exposure. Test 2 was done with the front clamshell closed and shining light on the back for a minutes before exposure. If I keep the lens closed I can minimize the leaks, but I'd rather just reseal it. 2. Hello, I have a Hasselblad A12 non automatic back which I have been using for the past few months and has worked perfectly, however now when I twist the keyring back the counter won't reset and the shutter of my Hassie 500cm will not fire when the back is mounted. Any fix ideas? Thanks
  3. Hello, I just found this Tachihara Hope A on eBay for $330, however can't tell much about it. Can anybody answer the following? 1. Is it 4x5 or 8x10? 2. Is this a good deal 3. Any other information would be fantastic
  4. That Rolleiflex 2.8f is nice. I'd suggest Ilford HP5+ 400 pushed to 1600 for black and white film, and Portra 400 for color negative. I would use The Darkroom, they do a great job and give you scans.
  5. I agree with Greg, Its probably one of the soviet/russian copies that were common of the time.
  6. Hello, I have an amazing condition Agfa Isolette II with an 80mm F4.5 Solinar lens and a Syncro-Compur shutter. I have seen lower end combinations sell for around $210, make me an offer. Camera has been tested with film and functions great. Mau be open to trades, make an offer.
  7. Thank you so much for all your help, its awesome to know that I have the Agfa with the best lens and shutter combination. And I think that I will try out the Agfa for a while, I picked it up on my trip the Sweden last summer and never really got a ton of use out of it,I am exited to test it out.
  8. Haha, it's just cool that you responded to my post, that's all.
  9. Hello, I have an Agfa Isolette II and I was trying to find more information on it however I cannot find another example of this camera that has the same shutter/lens combination as mine. It is a Synchro-Compur Agfa Solinar 1:4,5/85 Does anyone have some information on this?
  10. I have my Nikon F3 for daily shooting and general photography, I have a fairly nice Manfrotto tripod already and would be looking at a full kit for the Hasselblad. Are you 'the' Gus Lazzari, world renowned Leica repairer/CLAer
  11. Thanks for all the suggestions and opinions, I think that I will be going with the Hasselblad, due to its reputation for being well built, having high quality lenses, and for the type of photography that I plan to use it for, not to mention my swedish heritage is telling me to get it :) . Now I just have to find someone to purchase my Nikon kit, if you know anyone looking for one feel free to direct message me. Thanks everyone
  12. I would love to get both, and depending on which one I get I plan on getting the other when I have the money. At the moment I'm considering the Hassie a bit more, I have my F3 for my street work and the Hassie would be great for landscapes, and I already have a fairly nice tripod for it.
  13. Hello everybody, i recently realized that my Nikon d7200 has been sitting in my bag unused for the last two months or so because ive been using either my Sony rx100 or Nikon F3, so I've decided to sell my digital Nikon kit. I really love shooting film and I am expecting to get $1500 for my Nikon gear and am trying to decide which classic, film camera to get. The Leica M2 or Hasselblad 500cm Any opinions that you guys may have would be greatly appreciated thanks.
  14. Hello everyone. I recently acquired a fairly nice condition Nikon F3 off of Ebay. I just finished putting my first roll through it and when I went to change my rolls I noticed that the frame counter had not reset. I have done a bit of research on what the problem might be but I have not found any satisfactory answers. The counter is stuck between the 10 and 5, if I close the back and continue shooting that counter goes up but the lowest it will go is about 7. I'd be happy to supply any more information on it and i'd appreciate any help. Thanks
  15. Hello world. Ive been shooting digital with my Nikon D7200 for a while now and I have also been messing around with film quite a bit. I have found that I enjoy shooting with my film camera 100 times more than my digital, given the choice I will take my Canon FTB with me over my Nikon any day. I find that I get more 'keepers' from my film than digital. I have been looking into a Leica M6 and a Voigtlander 35mm f2.5 lens that I could have for under $1800 however to acquire this camera in a reasonable amount of time I would have to trade in/sell my Nikon kit. Any thoughts? I just find that shooting film is so much more satisfying and rewarding. Thanks.
  16. Hello, I went on a night ski last night and lost the Tokina BH-771 lens hood for my Tokina ATX 20-35 f/2.8. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to either find a new one (have not been able to find any online), or find a compatible one (I use the lens on a Nikon D7200 so it is a crop sensor so a long lens hood would not be a problem). Thanks
  17. <p>Hello, i'm flying out tomorrow to Washington DC to attend this year's Presidential Inauguration. I am planning on flying with my Manfrotto Befree Compact Travel Tripod, I am not checking any bags, everything is coming in carry ons, any tips for flying with a tripod carry on? Any help will be greatly appreciated.</p>
  18. <p>Hello everybody, I have been borrowing a Nikon F3HP from a family friend, I have had it for the last 7 months and used it frequently for the first 2 very successfully. After about 2 months I put it down for a while, just a few days ago I got it out again and was messing with it, however the main shutter button wouldn't do anything. The illuminator in the viewfinder doesn't light up anymore and the meter no longer functions. The manual override switch on the from still fires. I have messed with the 'T' shutter speed because I read another forum post from someone with a similar problem, this caused the camera to function for a few shots before it ceased to function again. Id love to hear your suggestions, thanks, I hope I put this in the right place.</p>
  19. <p>Hello, i recently acquired a Canon FTB QL 35mm slr from my grandfather. I replaced the battery with a 1.35V Mercury Replacement battery ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009VQJ7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc= ) when i use the battery check on the camera the need doesn't move however when i turn the camera on can point it at a light source the need moves upward. Also when i turn the aperture ring on my lens the circle in the viewfinder doesn't move. I would love and help that you people could give me with the meter. Thanks</p>
