or was i too blind to see the irony?
-
you are obviously a more accurate rater than i am ; )
-
the board was there so it is in the shot...i think it is still there, maybe tomorrow i will move it and shoot again
-
nice colors but i cant help but think i would prefer it if the people were walking into the frame as opposed to out of it.
-
any and all comments(pro and con),suggestions and/or ratings would be
appreciated..thanks

the perspective is off to my eyes(leans to the right)but very moody, almost eerie shot.I like the "atmosphere" and edginess
-
the subject, colors and composition are great..obviously not a portrait of your grandaughter(more of santa)unless you know the story..but a great expression of the season and a child's exitement ..almost Norman Rockwellish(which is a compliment, and hopefully taken as such)
-
any comments(pro or con)suggestions and/or ratings would be
appreciated...thanks

i was going thru the previous day's posts and this one struck me right away...great shot(i say to myself)and rate it highly....and then i see what others have rated it and i think(rather alarmed)what did i miss?what is wrong with this shot?NOT A THING!!i guess i just have better taste..;)the contrast, the action, everything about this puts you there with the wind and spray in your face..really,really good(in my oh so humble opinion)shot
-
nice pot..but a little close to the bottom edge for me..i think it would be even better in black and white
-
i agree...it could do without the bird, otherwise pretty interesting
-
any comments(pro or con),suggestions and/or ratings would be
appreciated..i shoot for myself but i dont live in a vacuum ;)

This was in a little boxing club and the kid couldn't afford the $11 per month membership fee.But he went to watch(rather longingly)every day.If you look closely at the bottle it actually(imo)has a place in the story. After i tok this shot I talked to the kid and after he got permission from his parents,I am paying his fee for him...he really wants to box and while i am not a big boxing fan,i feel there are worse things he could be doing after school....Thankyou for your interest
-
the compositions change so it's hard to do a real comparison..generally i like the b&w ones better, but i like one of the color ones the best because i think those colors work well together..check your ratings
-
imo...the hair adds something..she's a kid outside, being herself..not in some closed in studio and a stiff pose that you get off a pose card...excellent
-
while i realize that the crest is the focal point...i think i would have liked to see a little more of the neck
-
a little too centered for my tastes
-
this to me..is a classic
-
very nice shot..lots of atmosphere and feeling..i think it would have been even beter if she had a little head room,but... well done
-
i could comment on the lack of sharpness and the washed out sky(i guess i just did)but i like this shot anyway..i like it very much
-
i think i would have liked it better if the converging point had been a little more off center
-
The color is not that different from the actual..it is called safety
yellow and is used to designate forklift traffic areas and
structures..i would appreciate any comments on the use of
dodging/burning(too heavy handed?)and composition(balanced?)of this
shot..as well as any ratings and/or comments on whether this shot has
appeal as an abstract image..all opinions(pro and con)are
appreciated..thanks
