Which is not a bad thing. But lack of focus is.

I think this is a well-treated HDR image but would suggest cropping in from the left for a square crop thus giving a more pleasing composition. There would would still be enough of the wall to the left to let the picture 'speak'. Thanks, Rick
  4. But at this ISO you should not have noise. The haloing is the clue here, I think you have overcooked this in processing. If you have used LR then it is too much clarity. Thanks, Rick

However, I would have preferred to not see camera shake or movement. The color palette is excellent, as is the composition. Thanks, Rick

    The daily grind

Low light and a fast shutter speed made this very noisy on my D50. Any thoughts?

I do like the composition and feel it is a little lacking in midrange contrast. If you fool with the curves a little there is more detail in those light areas and therefore more texture. I had a go with that and it worked nicely (see above)

After some time photographing things I am trying to get back to people. This is a first attempt in a long time. Any opinions? Thanks, Rick

  14. Dull day, straight into sun, huge exposure range so had to go HDR route. Did I muck it up completely?

It will work well with clouds. Not a grey sky, but some clouds.
