Wayne Sadler.....thank you for your comment. I'm new to posting on photo.net so I probably have to reduce my images when posting. I just assumed the photos were automatically reduced to fit. I see what you are saying about shifting the tree, unfortunately I was restricted by where I could stand and keep out background to the left of tree....

  9. ...BEAUTIFUL capture....everything about it! The color, the backlit lighting and the freezing of the movement....a once in a lifetime photo image. (But one thing for my own sanity....was this same photo submitted in the past? I feel like I've seen it before..."deja vu all over")

..EXCELLENT sharpness and clarity. Colors are beautiful. Gear and settings?

...what I don't understand is how one shooter could accumulate this amount of carcasses in a short enough time to the point that none seem to be decomposing. I tried to count them and it seems to be well over 100(maybe more than the herds that are being protected).

    the blue city

....very well composed photo and though a bit camera shy, the cat was a nicely added capture....

    Slow it down....

..very nice long exposure.....and tricky lighting to work with after...
  14. .....so phenomenal, surrealistic!
  15. ....I have a set of jeweler's screw drivers under the brand name of "General Tools" (check on Google) that work for me...they don't have a plastic or rubber grip....they work great for me...
  16. ..I haven't been able to find any on shelves for 2 weeks....guess I will have to get in line and wait for the store to open.....
  17. ..so next Wednesday(January 1,2020) will be part of the year 2019 of Nikon Wednesday?
  18. ...Dubina,Tx? Have you had a chance to photograph inside this church and and the one in High Hill? Both beautiful...
  19. ....is this the "Piano Bridge" near a Painted Church in Dubina,Tx?
  20. I would say level the dam...water usually falls straight down by gravity when flowing over a wall...
  21. NCIS uses Digital Nikons that are clearly visible(probably paying ad fee to the show to use them and be visible). With DVR available on cable and freeze/zoom on tv's it is easy to see which ones are used in to broadcasts....
  22. Andrew, I hear what you are saying about some hikes could be a little rough. The trail down into Bryce canyon is at the entrance end of the park and is not very difficult at all. Coming back up has a switchback to make it an easier climb and hiking in the canyon you can make as long or short as you want...the main thing is to see the formations from a different and surprising perspective. Angels Landing has some spots on the trail up to the staging area for the main climb that are well worth the partial hike(no danger at all unless you make that final ascent and I have a fear of heights also). I just wish I had had a decent camera at the time 15 yrs ago(I just got an 850 and want to go back to ALL the places I visited in my lifetime). Enjoy..
