I recently aquired two photgenic profoto 750 strobes and I haver been

reading a lot about how to meter to get exposure and light ratio I

have a seconik 358 flash meter. Should I aim meter at light or at

the camera with either the flat disk or himisphere. There seems to

be a lot of confusion about this some say camera some say strobe

please help.

Now that I have these two strobes to use as my key and fill lights I

wanted to use my canon 550ex asa background light until I can afford

a 3rd strobe. My question is what brand of optical slave can I get

for the 550 that s safew to use with this flash. I know that the

canon has a built in infared slave but I dont want to spend all the

money on the infared transmitter I just want one that the strobes

will set off?

I need help Im thinking of buying a lumiquest softbox for my canon

550 flash. I was wondering how this will effect ettl metering and

will I now need a flash meter. If so what type of flash meter will I

need? Preferebly one that wont break the bank thank you
