The selective focusing on the lifeless objects in the front, letting the person, the old lady, in some sort of unclear blurriness in the back, conveys quietness, indeed. I like the tones and the juxtaposition of the objects as well. I can see a very interesting interaction between shapes and lines there... -
Glad you are getting so much better Gail! The combination of saturated yellow, deep purple and light green here, is very appealing. I like the selective focusing, as well...greatly revealing the little fella's body details. Hope you enjoying summertime. Cheers! -

This one is great in many levels...It is a fine documentary/photojournalism shot, bearing a very strong underlying geometry, conveying an extra intensive urban feeling...I've been looking at it for about 10 minutes now and I keep finding new interesting elements... -

As always, the skin tones here are excellent. I like the texture on the background wall and the lines on her back as well, but the strongest element in this shot is the high contrast in her eyes which makes her gaze extra intense and engaging... -
