a naked lady would have been great... specially for you!!! :-))))
Yes, it was a constructive comment, as always. I was talking about this one: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=515194
Regards, and thanks for beeing a "feedbacker" all this time.

great! I think the blue-black tones are a good choice to show the lack of light. It's really like a living eye in the middle of the flower, makes me scare...! :-)
-
good choice to include the non-white patch in the middle, it breaks the continuity of the snowed landscape.
-
yes, maybe too centered but I dont find it specially disturbing.
-
nice, but isnt that blue a little weird? Or is it just the "velvia effect"?

this kind of subjects are best catched with lateral light, in order to have some shadows to accentuate the texture. Also the piece of iron out of focus doesnt fit IMO.

Nice, interesting, would have loved to see this as a background of a main subject in the foreground, it's like something's missing here... The almost B&W look makes it attractive, though.
BTW, I've been reviewing some of the first shots that I posted when I came here, one of the first comments was from... you! :-)

Surreal landscape, but compositionally none of the two subjects (cow and cars) prevail, I think that if one of them were more preeminent, would make a stronger composition. For example: how about a foreground of half the face of the cow, on one side, and the cars on the backrounds.... Just an idea.
BTW: the system is discouraging me too, the abuse section is not doing its work and mate-raters are using much more space than ever for quite mediocre images... So most probably I wont renew my subscription, there's not too much to pay for and maybe I spent enough time here, time to move forward :-)

3/5 explains for itself: original idea to shoot such a subject, but I dont find any aesthetical merit, there is no need for words if you are clever enough to read the numbers accordingly. Believe me, I was sincere and even more important: VERY generous, cause I didn't want to ruin your collection of 7/7s.
I too find a social merit in pertaining to a mate-raters club, though. Or did you really think that all those high rates are sincere enough to help you improve your photographic skills?

Saludos.

"it is not a documentary photo any more any way :) best regards"
of course it is not anymore, perhaps I wasn't clear enough... I meant that I see it as part of those travel-like shots.
With regards of the "dramatism", I'm saying it for the contrasted tones, those deep blacks... all that convey a very dramatic feeling to the image. And they just, ehm... are very "contrasting" with those smiley, posed faces.
Anyway, it's just my personal opinion, you allready know what it is said about them, "everyone has one".

The starting point of life on earth...? :-)
Would like to hear something about the size of such a natural fomation - a gingantic geode...?

Hmmm, interesting composite, but something bothers me...
There's a mix feeling of surrealism and travel imagery here; for the first one, the people on the boat, with that smiley and complicit looking to the camera, substract dramatism. And to be a "travel" or "documentarian" shot, it's too unreal.
I think you should know better where you want to go, before making such composites. I would tell you: dig deeper inside, you obviously have something to say. ;-)

beautiful! The best: the desaturated nature of everything except for her skin. More, more, more!!!
