Thank you for your very kind words.

Again, you found the essence of my vision. Was trying to show an ordinary piece of fallen tree trunk in a different way. The motto of the collection is: "When you look closer."

Thank you again for your complements.

    My best regards.

It is so nice to hear from you.

Thank you for your very kind words. As probably you saw on my other response this image will be part of a collection I'll call "The Talking Trees"which I'm planning to publish and distribute free of charge in our local schools and libraries to encourage young people to go out and enjoy nature more....

    My best regards.

    Standing Out

Your recent helpful comment on my work prompted me to take a long look at your portfolio.

I convinced, your love of the outdoors combined with your keen eye for details and for recognizing the opportunity for a truly great image makes you an outstanding artist.

I agree with Jim about this shot doesn't have to same effect as your other tulip field images have. BUT this one is a different scene altogether.

This shot presents the same flowers in a more intimate, personal point of view.

The little yellow one looks almost lost in the big red and green world.

Perhaps is only me but I prefer this over your more conventional presentation of flowers.

Like I was drawn to this image: Sunrays at Punchbowl Falls. for it's mood created by the light beams and shadows, BTW I even like the frame too...

    My sincere complements.

PS. If I may? My eyes were constantly drawn to the bottom right and left above your watermark, due to the sharpness of those regions. My mind was trying to figure out the DOF there, still got confused.

Thank you for your very kind words. Yes you are absolutely right the lower part needs a little more attention. You just reassured me, thank you for it.

Please find the corrected image in my Photo drop file.

    My best regards.

  1. Don't know where to start...

So first: Thank you for your kindness. I missed your insights and comforting suggestions and your always warm words to continuing my quest to find the beauty in our everyday life.

    I'm back.

This Talking Tree series eventually will turn into a Photo Book publication which I'm planning to distribute free of charge in local schools and libraries to encourage young people to spend more time in the nature to explore this hidden word of wonder they most likely didn't know it even existed.

Finally, my friend you are an integral part of this conversation already.

Without your kind encouragement and guidance I couldn't have traveled this far.

With my heart I thank you.

    Hi Rosario

This is a very hard shot to make to get this result.

When all the moving parts of the image comes out this detailed and one still can maintain the correct tone and hue of the setting sun and moistness in the air show skill and good eye.

    My complements.

  2. Hi Laurent.

What a great surprise! First /sorry second/ image I opened for offering my two cents is this stunning shot.

Perfect composition the soft warm tones of the rocks the blurred reeds and yes the pose of the gull is just puts the whole image together perfectly.

    Thanks for sharing.

My best wishes to you as always.

Hope the "rating elves" will agree with me: 7/7

Part of a future project, I thought it is an interesting resemblance to

underwater coral formations. The area across is about two inches.

Thank you for your thoughts and observations.
