2 gorgeous shots. I really like the canoes in this one compositionally because they lead the viewer's eye to the dock, the dock leading the eye right into the image! Beautiful colors, great composition. As for just having an iphone, when people ask any photographer what camera they used, the answer is always "my 2 eyers". Doesn't matter what camera when you can "SEE" the shot as you did here.

They are all attached to the dock and sitting in pretty shallow water. They are all condemned. Weird to see curtains in windows, furniture in the rooms, a bed in a bedroom - all deserted.

Looks like someone went to a car show. I like the idea of the reflection. Try cropping a bit from the left and 1/3 off the right, so just part of the man's left leg shows. I think your intent was to focus on the reflection which is terrific. The crop might drive home that intent even more.

I have been experimenting with shooting soft focus in-camera just to see the effect and mood. Sometimes it's great, other times not.

Jack, this is the original file.

I too enjoy making paintings from some images and Europe lends itself beautifully to this effort. In this image, the viewer's eye is nicely drawn to the light at the back as the buildings offer leading lines through the photo. The car in the left front is rather bright and is trapping my travel through the image. I wonder if toning it down would strengthen the viewer's visual journey through an otherwise lovely composition.

I like the painterly effect you created in PP. The "painting" invites me to look more closely as the figures emerge. I seem to get stuck on the round bluish circle beneath the right hand tree trunks and wonder if my eye would move more smoothly without it. Great composition.

Interesting composition. I am guessing this is a composite because there are no shadows from the rectangular objects in the back. Fascinating study of shapes, nonetheless.

Wonderful story-telling capture. The 4 different positions of the women and their different-colored hats make the composition! Love how you decided to do the PP.

Artistic and well done. I love blurs when they tell a story or are aesthetic in some way. To me this is both.

This is a mural in Philadelphia. It was the car and the people that made me photo it. I thought they made the photo.

Part of it is a street painting. The parking lot, car and people are real.

Nicely seen and nicely captured, the late afternoon shadow makes the iimage. It is well balanced by the 2 figures barely seen on each edge. I triuangular sliver of light draws the viewer's eye right into the image, making the viewer figure out exactly where the light is coming from. GREAT SHOT.
