11.
I was already 31 when I started in 1985. I had it in my head for years and finally acted at that time. I knocked out a closet wall (probably illegally) underneath the stairs that led to the second floor co-op. I still use the same Beseler 23C II but with a better lens and, now, a lot more space.

 12.
Here's a video that demonstrates the process that Alan describes above: <a href=" Long ago, I used a Kodak solution in order to determine if fixer was still good but then, because I used the same procedures repeatedly, I just figured out when the testing showed my fixer had gone bad, and never surpassed that amount of film and paper to be fixed. Good idea is to err on the side of caution and toss fixer early.

 13.
Gustave, I purchased a charming little book on eBay entitled Darkroom Handbook and Formulary by Morris Germain, published in 1940. It contains formulas for all of the major developers of the time. I have four PDFs to send you of the paper developers. If you send me your email address, I'll be happy to forward them on to you.

 14.
Thanks so much Laura. I wouldn't have seen that tab in a million years.

 15.
Okay, I have definitely lost my mind. I cannot figure out how to submit photos for numerical ratings. I can see numerical ratings that I have submitted for others, and numbers that others have given me in the past, but nowhere do I see how to submit a photo for a numerical rating. Help!

 16.
Lex, Thanks for your thoughtful, helpful commentary on the subject. However, I know I have submitted at least seven photographs for criticism and have received comments on almost all of them, yet the same photo appears under all my submissions. Do I need to have more than seven critiqued to see any variety?

 17.
Hi, Whenever I post something on the forums, the same photograph from my gallery appears at the bottom of the thread. I see other photographers have photos that vary from thread to thread. What am I doing wrong?
