1.
I was about to renew my photo.net subscription this morning because I saw this in a google search of my name.
Subscription Expired - ImagePRO Photography
imagepro.photography.com/dfthornton Subscription Expired. This user's photo.net subscription has expired.
Now I have no idea who this dfthornton is but this is what google returns with the search phrase "bill landon photography"
Lovely, now what do I do !!!

 2.
I want to batch tag several hundred images of a recent high school sporting events before I upload to several sites. I want to add tags such as location school name and date shot so that Google image search can "see" these. Now I already tag every photo with my copyright info "Bill Landon Photo" (a function of my camera) which is very visable to Google, in that when I image search this phrase many of my photos appear. I am exploring the metadata tab in Bridge CS4 but I'm not sure this is where I "tag" them. Thanx for any help, Bill.

 3.
I use several "Actions" in PS CS4 that I call from Bridge using the "Image Processor" option from the tools, photoshop dialog. (thank you Garrison K) I want to "EDIT" a single step in a saved action without having to recreate the whole action over again.
ie
1. reduce image size
2. Smart Sharpen
3. reduce image size
4. Smart sharpen
5. Make a text layer (this is my watermark)
6. Set current layer
7. Move current layer
8. Flatten image

I just want to alter step 5 to change just the text layer ?
4.
I bought my D80 NEW in April of 2007. I now have over 86,000 shutter actuations and it hasn't missed a beat. Other than it chronically over exposing by 2/3 stops, it's a solid camera. Good luck and good shooting.

 5.
I have made all my adjustments to 165 RAW-NEF images in ACR Bridge (crop, fill light, color temperature, etc) on a robust windows machine, using XP professional which is up to date, virus free and running well. My ACR version is 5.6 hosted by Bridge using a D80. I’ve written my Action in CS4 as follows:

Sharpen

Saturate 10

Save as jpg (to a folder called HiResolution)

Image re-size (resolution 72)

Sharpen

Save as jpg (to a folder call LowResolution)

From ACR Tools, I select photoshop, batch and let it rip!

Then I go for breakfast. She’s Robust, but she ain’t that robust.

About 15% of my finished jpgs in both folders failed to heed my instructions from ACR. That is to say most are cropped and adjusted as I intended but 15% ignored all my instructions. Now I know when, and when not, to use that synchronize button in bridge, but I am baffled why this happens. What’s happening here? Can anyone provide some insight or share a similar experience? Thank you for any input, Bill

 6.
I am a windows xp, CS3 user who downloaded the CS4 trial version and was very impressed with the enhancements to Bridge, let's call it "BR4'. After the 30 day trial period expired for CS4, I discovered that BR4 launches CS3 which runs and interfaces smoothly!
What's my point?
CS3 users may want to download the CS4 trial version and after the trial period, keep the BR4 sorter!

 7.
In auto mode you cannot input flash compensation by pushing the flash comp with your left thumb. In other program modes, even with the flash set in commander or other non ttl settings, when you set it back to auto mode, ttl is automatically selected for this exposure mode and cannot be changed.
My D80 is still at firmware version 1.01 with over 45k shutter activations and I have experienced improper flash exposure on two occasions. Both times it required me to power off the camera and unmount the cpu lense a couple of times. I too should upgrade the firmware but this flash anomaly has not occured lately.

 8.
I was at a graduation party last month where a fellow shooter was using their recently acquired d5000. It failed in precisely the manor in which this recall described. We switched batteries, memory cards and the two button green reset, changed cpu lenses to no avail. She was dead in the water no matter what we tried!! Needless to say the shooter was extremely dissappointed as their week old camera crapped out!!
Bill

 9.
I use my epson r220 for my everyday printer and have owned it for 3 or 4 years and it gets used almost every day. I have problems with it miss feeding or not feeding at all, only when using 8.5 x 11inch Ultra Premium Glossy paper. Now I've used so many of those sticky cleaner sheets (which fixes the problem temporarily) that I'm buying extra paper just for these cleaner sheets.
I've never had a problem with any other size or type of paper.
Is my printer on its last leg?
Thanx, Bill

 10.
If the Lowe's #15 Acura was under braking, it's often difficult to see glowing brake rotors in bright daylight. If you wanted to reveal the glowing rotors, it would be easier to bring out those details from the dark wheel wells with a RAW image. Congratulations, GREAT SHOTS!
Bill
