Thanks Leo, you are making my day!

Shot from a private plane, between Napa and Sacramento CA.

Very clever!

A nesting pair of hawks that live close to my home. This was my first
outing with the 400mm, how did I do?

Of the three rose layer shots, this one is my favorite. I like:
1. the strong diagonal. That edge in perfect focus.
2. the echoe of the diagonal in the uupper petals.
3. Just the right DOF for me. I know what it is, no mystery. But the DOF provides a softness.
Well done!

Beyond amazing! Great work.

Very nice! It's so great that people can find so many ways to make an image of the same spot. See this one: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6181507
Way to go! Bob.

Shot in Bodie, CA. I loved the reflection, and the idea that this
mannequin had seen decades of slow decay, all the while perched in the
shop window. The reflection in the window was quite strong.
I didn't notice the hat until I looked at the image on my computer.
Just some basic S-curve adjustment and sharpening in lightroom.
Enjoy, thanks in advance for feedback/ratings.

A shot from the Tahoe Wooden Boat show. Photoshop water color effect.
Thanks for feedback/ratings. Bob.

This effect was achieved using a ND filter, rotated to match the
water's edge. It was a beautiful evening, lots of good images for the
taking.
Thanks in advance for comments/ratings. Bob.

This image was taken at the Experience Music Project. Awesome building
for photography. I only wish the jpg could do justice to the 14 bit
raw version, but there's no way. I took about 100 shots, this was my
favorite from a composition and lighting point of view.
Appreciate ratings/feedback. Bob.

I know, crummy title. How do you like the picture though?
Appreciate feedback/ratings. How about a good title for me?
Bob.

Thanks Larry. Yes I suppose I should fix that. It has stability control, you can't make it go sideways!

Was taking pics of my kids with a Ferrari F430. I had parked the car
on purpose in this spot. This shot however was unstaged. I basically
held the camera up over my head and shot down. When I got back to the
computer, his relaxed position and expression really got to me.
I added the motion blur in PS, cropped a bit off the front. My
favorite shot of the year. Nice memory for a 14 year old, eh?
Appreciate feedback/ratings. Bob.

Was shooting this butterfly along a road in northern California. I saw
the bee out of the corner of my eye and held the shutter down. Things
happen fast in their little world! In the next frame the butterfly was
gone and the bee had replaced him. Territorial little buggers, eh?
I was happy with the DOF and sharpness if this shot. Thx for your
comments/reviews.
Bob.
