I use filters on the lens, the B60 filters found with b&h used and in good prices, the filters on the
lens give the real effect you need than photoshop, a polarizer for me is a must shooting landscape,
specially and so the ND filter also, for the B/W it is also helpful to use on the lens, such as red,
yellow filters.
The polarizer will serve two purpose, one, it will emphasize he blue colors of the sky depending on the sun angel and the second it will reduce reflections.
Marumi makes B60 ND8 filters which will work on your lenses they can be found on ebay.

Mind the film set uniformly on the scanner, that why with the help of the anti newton glass it will
give you a much better result, the BetterScanning frame work I use to scan 120 films is great and
you need not more than 2400dpi for that size of print, slide film scanning is much easier than
scanning negatives.
I am not an expert and others might of more help to you as per this matter, thank you and wishing
you all of the best.
-
Still the mechanical timer could found on ebay and this is very useful gadget .

I am not really sure what happened with my 120 films, that why to be in the safe side I was
planning to take the 35MM films instead this time to use with my xpan camera, I had a feeling that
the 35MM might be less effected with the X-rays, just a feeling but I am not sure, I do have the
safe bags from b&h two of them and they can take around 40 films, thats if the films reach me here
in good order and not been exposed to x-rays during the shipment from the state where I do make
my orders.
-
All of this modifications do not really worth going for.
Dear Wolf, Q.G. did not know what camera I was aiming for, it was my mistake not to mention this
earlier.
My thanks for all of you and I really learnt a lot put of been posted here, wishing you all of the best.
-
Thank you Marco, I have the film safe bags but thats when I travel with them, what I am scared of
is when I order the films from abroad and they pass many airports and customs checking, again
the 35MM I am not sure if they are more safe as they are in metal consters than the 120/220 which
are rolled with papers.
-
If this question sound sally, I am so sorry for that.
I understand that the 35MM films comes in consters, which is made of metal while the 120/220 films comes
rolled with paper, could this make the 120/220 more subject to the customs x-rays in the different airports and
also when ordered from one place to travel for its buyer to other country by passing via different countries
checking system?
35MM I ordered from the state and they never had any problem, they travelled with me also and passed
number of customs checking points, they still had no problem.
I had a problem with most of my 120 films and the effect been very bad.
Thank you all .

Thank you dear Stephen a lot.
Thank you Q.G. good man, I have the cable connecting from the winder to the CVF back all the
time, thank you a lot sir, now I understand from your words that as long as the IR trigger remained
pressed it will do the job.
Thank you dear Stephen a lot, with this back the cable from the lens flash synch. terminal to the
back will do the slow shutter timing, now I also know from Q.G. that the IR will also do the job as
long as the cable from the winder to the back is there.
Thanks to both of you a lot.
-
In case I need a long exposure and operate the camera on B setting while I have the CW winder attached to the
camera and the digital back CVF-39, is this possible, I also have the IR remote trigger, or do I have to remove
the winder and use a cable release?
Thank you and I am sorry for troubling you with my questions please.

I have the same C330 camera, never bothered with setting the ASA on this camera as it is not of
any function but as it been said earlier, just to remind you of the film used, I usually set the ASA on
my hand held held meter which I do use when using this camera.
Welcome to pnoto.net and you said all of the correct things about the site and it is a very friendly
and educational site by all means.
-
Dear Wold, I understand that this might not be fare, but could you please help me with finding one
in good condition and you do the modifications for me to make the lens work on my 503CW and I
am prepared to pay all of the expenses, please?
Thank you a lot and you can please email me on film4portrait@yahoo.com

Dear Wolf, we have no good people to do modifications on camera gears out here, this is some
thing rare, I also like to learn and do good photography, I travel away from home and thats cost me
a lot, all just for photography, this is why I like my gear to sever me good and end me with good
results.
I am going to be pleased to find a decent 30MM lens for my hassy from b&h or keh.com.
I can not think of modifying a lens and better be straight click and fit.
Thank you dear Wolf, all of the inputs here are so much appreciated

I have checked the kiev USA, I am seriously interested the 6th. lens to my hasslblad system and
thats the 30MM, I understand for the price of a used Hasselblad 30MM lens I can buy a full kiev
system, but thats not what I am going for, I will have to pay the price for the lens which do deserve
and remain with my Hasselblad system, the quality matters.
-
Very nice collections of films, I have to photograph some of mine to post.
How would you have the power out for a week, the longest system I have seen is the tea katel
total system black out in UK and the system been partially restored in couple of hours according to
Werek Grid Control:)

T5hank you all.
Dear Dan I do my own scanning using the Epson V750 Pro. flat bed Scanner and the
BetterScanning tools.
Dear Tom, I have the Minolta Color Meter, the Ektar film was recommended by some of my
friends, and I like the film also but just thought I might over come the bluish cast of the shadow
using on lens filters to avoid a lot of digital work on my images, specially the film ones, it looks
more practical to deal with the film and the contents of the image on the field.
Thank you again and wishing you all of the best.
-
I am sorry but I was after correcting the cast with the camera, that why I wanted to know if there is
a color correction filter which can solve this problem, please?
Thank you a lot.
-
I used Kodak Ektar 100ASA on my hasselblad xpan camera during my second visit to Sri Lanka, I noticed this
film is given blue cast on the shaded areas, would a 81A color corrections filter if used on the lens will help to
minimize this color cost, please?
Thank you and all of the best.

This X-Rays of the airports is what I did not expect to effect my films, but here again thats how it
look and the possible cause is, I ordered my films all from B&H, and received them via UPS, they
must have been scanned several times at different customs before I receive them.
They say that the modern checking machines are having no bad effect on films, but that might not
be true.
Going from my country to Sri Lanka I had all of my films in a x-rays save bags which I order from
b&h also but again they must have been effected while they are coming here and it was too late to
protect them.
-
I am very sorry, I could not yet understand what this means ( bankruptcy ) neither I could find an
alternative word for it, I have seen this for last few days on Yahoo site, please does this mean all of
the films will be stopped producing?
Thank you
-
Dear Ray, although I like my Leica and my Rollei, they are not pratically all purpose cameras,
more strapteej ones, while the hasselblad cameras are hard working cameras under all conditions,
the Pentax, I have 645N and with 5 different lenses but there is a great question mark comes after
those lenses and sharpness quality, nothing to compare with the Hasselblad lenses by any means.
Thank you dear Ray

Dear Wolf, I been to the photo-expedition centre two years back at Bangkok, been there for the
whole day, indeed most of the people at the Nikon and Canon stands, very few at the Hasselblad.
I did ask some of the people why no much of interest for the Hasselblad, the answer was, those
whom interested in the Hasselblad are the Pro’s, not the snap shooters, Hasselblad product build
with Pro’s need in mind and build to deal with the most advance photography applications, this
makes the Hasselblad equipment of very high prices.
It is there for, normal people will have no interest in such high cost products, every wise man will
appreciate, this issue.
I paid recently around 14,000 USA dollars for my digital back CVF-39, thats just the back at a
time where I bought a friend of mine a Nikon camera with the lens brand new for only 700 USA
dollars with the shipment cost.
There are millions f people on the world treets at the moment having cameras and they all
shooting all sort of sense, would all those people need a hasselblad cameras to shoot the event
around taken place around them, of course not.
Hasselblad remains only for those have a serious interest in photography and thats what makes it
the best in todays market.

Dear Shirley, I am trying to cut down on the weight for two major reasons, the first is my heart is
not functioning good, that why weight put more stress on my heart, also the air line do not permit
more than 7KG to be taken with m inside the plane, I have 3 Hasselblad lenses, 50,80,150MM’S
and 2 film backs and the CVF-39, this is plus number of filters and batteries.
-
Just if some one interested, there is a place in Pattaya/Thailand called the foto-ku station, this is a
large studio and they have a good technicians which they deal with and those technicians are so
good for any Hasselblad repairs work.
The foto-ku station is just opposite the Big C mule.
-
Thanks to all of you.
Dear Michael, I like the 30MM lens but it is prices so high which put me off, I have to limit my gear
this time, that why as every one here suggested I will take the 45MM lens.
Thank you and wishing you all of the best.
