Kiev as far as I know is no more making cameras, Arax having stock of them and they do some
sort of modifications on those cameras and selling for a higher prices, also Arax do not have the
full range of Kiev lenses either.
I have compared the prices, you can get a good condition hasselblad 500 C/M body for a better
price then what Arax is selling for.

I do not agree with our friend Wolf, hasselblad V series are so hard to get a problem with them,
even if there was, it is mostly a mulfunction of the users, I bought my 80MM Lens with a little of
defect, I was going to send the lens to a qualified repair shop but when my friend at foto-ku studio
in pattaya/thailand seen it, he just moved the shutter ring and previous switch or so and the lens
was all fine, it is since the most lens I used.
I just bought from keh.com the F4 120MM Macro and it is on its way to me, again I am going to
buy the 30MM hassy, I will not use any other camera during my next trips to Thailand and Sri
Lanka, only Hasselblad 503CW, the CVF-39 back and the Hasselblad Xpan for my panorama
landscape and 120 film backs.
When I raised my question here, I was surprised to see the name Arax into same looking cameras like the hasselblad, looking from the outside, but now I know from all of the good people here that the different is so major.
Non of these items are available in our world, some times when we make an order it is too late to cancel it, that why I keep asking the good people here to learn from their advices.

I understand that the lab. might not have done a good job with my films, yet also this camera back
is too large and I am not a technician to probably check if this back is closing ok or it is leaking
light, I did check the seal and thats sound ok.
Thank you all, for sure this time time will go to another lab.

I understand that there is measures between hasselblad and its system comparing it with Arax system which
is originally Kieve with some improvements.
Yet I have seen some people here using kieve cameras and producing good result, the Arax system can be
much cheaper in respect of buying different lenses and other parts like the film backs or prism finders and so
on.
The question, lenses like the 30MM, 150MM and the 80MM do they have a quality which makes them worth
using or not?
Thank you and wishing you all of the best.

Looking at the first 3 images of yours, it looked like the same problem I had with my G617, it
looked more like this on my slides, makes me wonder if my back seal is also defected and the light
is getting through.

Thank you all, I always wanted this macro lens and with the set up I have, I hope it work ok for me.
As long as it is not having any problem with the focusing screen, then it is all fine, thank you all for
your input, it is very much appreciated, wishing you all of the best.

I have just placed an order for this lens from keh.com, for my CVF-39 digital back which comes with special
focusing screen, would this lens work ok or should I need to buy another screen for this lens?
Thank you and wishing you all of the best.

These films I ordered from b&h, could while these shipped to here been subject to x-rays at
different customs and check points and thats what caused this problem?, please

Thank you a lot, I will try with another film and see what happen, thanks to every one and wishing
you all of the best.

I just bought a used Jobo CPP2 processor in complete, I will try to learn using it.

Yes my friend Andy, these are very large slides, 6X17cm each frame work, I do have a medical x-
ray light box and I can clearly see the distortions on the film, I have seen this even when I was in
Sri Lanka before I return home but the lab man there kept denying that the fault is his and because
I did not know what is wrong I couldn’t argue, I do not like to blame any one but my self.
Thank you my friend a lot.

No my friend, the films all are straight, what I will do, I will scan another one with more signs of this
problem, not just the sort of light on the right but marks run down from top down wards.

Dear Matt, I did speak to the lab personnel and they told e that this has nothing to do with their
processing of the film, not all but the majority of the films had this and some even more sign of this
defects.
The film to load from one spool to another is a long run, I am not sure yet what happened, also this
lab in Sri Lanka and now I am back to my country, we do not have labs to process slide films any
more here but I can test using negatives films.
-
I used around 44 Fuji slide films while in Sri Lanka and given the whole lot to a small lab in Colombo to do the
processing, most of the films ended with distortions, lines running down from the sky downwards which can be
seen in the sample I am posting here, this sample just been scanned and re sized, no any alterations been
made to it and the defect can bee seen on the sky and to right hand side of the image.
I am not sure if this is caused by the camera itself, or is it because I been loading the film out door as the film
run long from one point to another which makes it a subject for light, or is it because of the processing defects.
I request you to advice please as I intend to use this camera on my next trips to Thailand and Sri Lanka again
