Very kind remarks Giangiorgio. I really appreciate your visit.

Masterful rendition of this beauty!

Very nice body shot of the bird in action with just enough of the beak Tm. Love the flower colors in foreground and background.

Gail, Ruud, Radu, Les, Tm, Per, Hem, Wanghan, Alf and Tue, thank you so very much for your very thoughtful, helpful and even inspiring comments. Gail, you mention the Rebel XT. I arrived at the wetland to look for birds and discovered that my 7D batteries were all dead. I had to pull out my little used backup camera, the XT. I had never coupled it to my 400 5.6L. To tell you the truth, I was surprised at how well it did. Best regards

Thank you so much for your thoughts Alf! You always have such a good ideas for my images. I really appreciate hearing from you. I understand what you are saying about the option to feature the bird a little more. I usually have birds on bare branches. Not something you need to highlight. In this case I liked the flowers on what I believe is a coyote bush, so I was wanting to feature them with the bird. Thanks again for your valuable input.

Hi Wanghan. Great to hear from you. Thanks for the comments.

Very unusual shot, expertly executed.

Striking snow-covered landscape with wonderful light. Well seen.
-
The head on this guy is striking. The blurred body really gives a strong sense of the beauty of his motion.

Really nice color Wanghan, as always. That's some very desolate country. Amazing detail on the underside of the huge boulder. Best regards

Really nice lighting on this one. Love the way the majority of the guy is in focus. The bg is perfect for the shot, with very nice composition.

Beautiful lighting and detail. Very unique shot for this forum. Thanks for sharing.

Such a majestic scene Yan! Love the prominent peak in the foreground and the detail in the floating clouds behind. The three layers of peaks working up the mountain behind the prominent one add tremendously to the effect.

Another masterful creation Gail! You have a clever way of making antiques really look ... antique!! Read your story and the explanation in the above post as well. Very interesting. TFS.

This was taken at a small wetland when I was visiting in San Diego.
I was lucky to come across this Little Blue Heron resting on a perch
above the water. I had seen this bird once before at this location.
But I have never seen a Little Blue Heron anywhere else. I believe
they are somewhat rare in my area.

Thank you much George!

Wonderful shot George! Love the mooring lines and bollard leading to the beautifully defined boat. Darkened sky works so well. Even the crane position is perfect. Love it!
-
Great moment and effect Michail! Silhouette is really nice and of couse water splash makes the shot. I'm ok with the horizon, kind of adds to the zany action mood in the shot.

Love it Mau! He really stands out from the masses, although not very many are paying attention.
