    Springtime

Very good color and sharpness. Was this a tiny flower? We have a very tiny wildflower that pops up in our grass for a day or two each year and I try to capture it every time with sad results. I always look forward to your work. Take care, Deanna

The lens for this one was Micro Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8. My favorite is the 50mm but often try others since I am learning by trial and error. (aren't we all?)

We have had a very harsh, snowy, long winter this year and this

photo taken several years ago caught my eye and reminded me that

it is March and tulips won't be far from now. Hope it warms your day

    too.

  1. So sad. Did you ever think of being a news photographer in your spare time? This photo brings sorrow for the homeowner and a need to make soup for the firemen. It doesn't matter what type of photo you do they are all interesting and very good. Take care, Deanna

Thank you. This was one of my first attempts at a portrait. There are a few things that should be changed but it is hard to mess up a pretty 17 year old girl and flowers. Take care, Deanna

    Winter's Flower

One snowy night I looked out the window and noticed how pretty the

pathway lights looked in the fresh snow. So I bundled up, grabbed

the camera and out I went. Beautiful night until I hit the ice under the

snow. No way to stop the fall but to save the camera had to land

hard with arms outstretched away from the impact. Shoulder only

hurt a day or two and camera had just a little snow on the lens.

Sometimes it takes a little more risk to get the shot. Hope you think

it was worth it. I do.
